Back to the serious stuff.

If either of you do decide to adopt, I suggest doing an overseas adoption. Not sure how the costs compare but I just don't trust domestic adoption. There are too many stories of mothers demanding their kids back later on.

My wifes younger brother was adopted from Russia. It ended up being a hassle, but they didn't regret it in the slightest.

Partially second this. Have friends that have adopted. Open adoptions are a potential mess, cut ties. Sounds mean, but long run stabilility is best with this.

Weight isn't the thing to solely focus on. Different bodies shapes and configurations make a difference. I was my healthiest right out of college, I cut the fat and worked out hard. I was 5 11 and weighed 190. Had a 44 coat and 31 pants, everything had to be custom fit.

Want to go back to a 34 pant so that would probably put me at 200 area. 20 years makes a lot of difference.

Right now it is for me. At 213 I was pretty jacked. Lifted and worked out hard. 3 kids later.....eh, notsomuch

I listen to Nickleback and don't mind their music. I also don't understand the hate for them

Are you a big music nut elsewise or just kind of casually into it?

I've heard Nickleback described as "music for people who aren't really that into music" and generally, I've found that to be true. Its just formulaic hard rock by the numbers that doesn't take a ton of thought or creativity. Nothing thought provoking or original, and the music is pretty slick. You just kind of get the vibe that they're making music because its making them money, and not because they're really passionate about what they do or have some idea they're trying to express.

They're harmless, and who people act like Nickleback is the force of evil trying to destroy music are overreacting and making too big a deal about it, but thats my attempt at explaining the "hate" for Nickleback. Or at least why I don't like them.

I wake up with a wo**y every day, not just on Friday?

I really liked Dave Matthews Band for a time, and it had nothing to do with pot or what I was listening to when I lost my virginity (Ben Kweller's "Wasted and Ready" and the Dropkick Murphy's "Spicy McHaggis Jig" in case anyone is wondering). They write good songs that use really strange chord progressions and melodies and have a way of working into your brain.

I've kind of moved past that stage musically, but I still put them on from time to time. They're great live as well.

Frankly, even as a fan, I can't figure out why they're as popular as they are. The music isn't really that catchy or accessible. I guess lyrically it has a pretty universal message and all that, but I'm surprised it has such mass appeal.

Yeah, I know it's not all potheads, and I actually had one of my first encouters with DMB as a background.

I used to like DMB. When they first hit the scene I appreciated their unique instrumentation and style. Then they got completely overexposed and I got sick of them. I could still probably sing most of their first two albums though.

Oh Ellen, you and your same sex partner must be so cute together.

My wife was 5'4 115 once. Having kids sucks, but she's carrying it pretty well and she keeps my motor running. Probably the best workout I get sometimes.

Oh we are so cute. Go to this one site and you can watch us be cute.

:eek::eek::unsure:

I was so pumped to be finished with the 8 week Kosama course.

Just as were leaving this morning..my wife drops on me that she sign us up for 6 more months.

I had better look awesome in six month or I am going to fight somebody.

Besides financial limitations, the popularity of open adoptions is the biggest roadblock for us. If we are raising a child, we want it to be "ours" and not have to keep in touch with its "real" mom, who didn't want it or couldn't take care of it when it was born. Things can get way too messy that way. Ridiculous that an agency would ask someone to shell out tens of thousands of dollars to get a child, and then force them bow down to the birth mother.

I smoked my share of grass in college, but I wouldn't call myself a pothead (I never liked the stereotypical "stoner" lifestyle of just being baked all the time and never doing anything), and I think the whole idea that no one would listen to certain music unless they're baked is sort of ridiculous. I enjoy a lot of "stoner" bands completely sober.

Current girlfriend uses the ex-girlfriends body lotion she left here.

6' 2" 235lbs, my body is a shrine....to beer!

My wife and I have been going through this for some time now, so I guess that is my confession. I have come to the realization that we will most likely not have children, but it has understandably been more difficult for her.

Just be there for each other, even if she says you don't understand what it is like for her (because she is right - you don't). And get ready for the emotional roller coaster every time she sees a pregant woman or a baby at the store, or every time one of her friends on facebook gets pregnant.

Pretty much it has come to the decision of whether we want to just be child-free or adopt, which can be expensive. Fertility treatment is not an option for us, as insurance doesn't cover it.

Best of luck to you and your wife. Do not forget that the number one reason that you married each other is not because you wanted children (even though you do want them) but because you love one another and want to spend your lives together.
We have some friends that were trying for 5+ years with treatments and such and they gave up. 2 months later she was pregnant and a short (very short) time after, their 2nd one came along.

I don't think I've cleaned my apartment thoroughly in 6 months. (Vacuum, dust, put everything in its place, clean all the dishes, clean the bathroom) I need to find a woman.
Why? So she can ***** at you to clean it? Seriously, you will have a tough time finding a woman who will gladly clean up after you unless you call a maid service and pay them.

Sometimes you need a woman to ***** at you to clean it. Hard to get any motivation to do something if the only person it matters to is you.

I've been listening to a lot of Fu Manchu and Kyuss lately. It doesn't get any stonerer than that and I'm sober and loving it.

Try 6'3". Trust me, it's not because I don't eat a lot. My friends have nicknamed me the "Black hole". And i'm a junior in college...

I dunno if its my metabolism slowing or because I have been hitting the weights really hard, but I had the same problem and just in the past year have put on about 20 lbs.

I graduated high school at about 135-145 probably 4% body fat. I was really active and into track. That carried over the first two years of college when I still ran and then that got old and I got tired of always being the little guy and buying medium clothing. Started a pretty heavy lifting routine and got up to 155 and kind of hit a plateau. Stopped working out as hard as I would have liked for a year or two and then just in the past year I've been at it hard. I'm up to 175 now and have put on enough muscle that people have been commenting. Now I just want to get cut, so my workouts have gone from strength to cardio and toning. It sucks because I always end up drenched and exhausted.

Moral of the story, do steroids.

This is my 3,000 post and I'm expecting a lot of rep for it.
My confession is I just looked at a bank statement for the first time in months and realized I spend about twice as much money at bars than anywhere else.

I've used too much rep on you.

King of the road says you move too slow...

I was listening to some Clutch the other day. They definitely have that stoner metal vibe going on too.
