I say steal another guy like Herman from a non-BCS school.

As I said in the other thread, we should go after Todd Fitch, OC now at South Florida. Runs a spread, Florida recruiting, QB coach, history with ISU, everything we'd want in our new OC.

I hope a coach with a similar system as Herman. I really liked the jet tempo we had this year, it kept the d on their toes and was effective at quick stikes.

Yup.

I would also say the following should be on our list if we can't get Kliff:
Matt Canada (NIU)
Gerry Gdowski (Ohio)
Matt Campbell (Toledo)

All are Top 20 offenses, with spread attacks in lower conferences.

I think given Kingsbury's Big 12 background, there's a good chance we can steal him.

Just a note, we'll have to get someone to coach QB's or else move someone else from the staff to QB. For example, you can't give the job to Loney sicne he was an O-line coach. We've already got Bliel for O-line.

Kliff Kingsbury would be a great replacement for coaching both the QBs and serving as OC (like Herman did).

Doesn't Nevada run the pistol? It seems like we have the personal to run that offense well.

Kingsbury would be great but tough to get IMO. Depends a lot on what Sumlin is going to do. If he stays put, I think it's possible. If he goes BCS somewhere, I'd guess Kingsbury goes with him.

Is to too late for Leach?
