Arkansas has been rumored as protected rival, but that would kill Texas recruiting. They would play at A&M once every 4 years.
Mizzou would be absolute fools to leave the B12 if those are the scheduling conditions for FB in the SEC.

Not that interesting when youve followed how things have typically gone.
Typically there is no 'invite' from a conference initially, but there are back channel assurances that they would be invited if they applied for membership.
Then the school votes to apply, and the conference then votes (usually a foregone conclusion) to officially invite them to join the conference.

I read this as a joint statement from BYU/ESPN that they are willing to negotiate more on their BYUtv issues (# of games).
I have been saying they are fools for weeks now, but am accused of just being a Mizzou hater. (not here)

After our play today, we would have a hard time competing with Conference USA or MAC teams.
Just saying....
I want 12, and preferably adding at least a few teams that aren't traditional powers.
Why, because it would be an easier road to the BCS no doubt.
I see no reason why the Pac would be a better option than the Big XII. I still believe it would make OU less relevant in the long run. (Don't take less relevant as irrelevant) But starting games at 9:15 central time doesn't do a lot for the majority of population and TV sets in the country.
Thanks for coming back and telling us how awesome you are after we relish in the **** that has been ISU football forever. Maybe someday you'll learn what it means to really be a fan, as opposed to someone who follows a team that always does well. Congratu****inglations, OU is awesome and can choose their destiny. IMO, we NEED 12 teams and a divisional format to have any chance. Only eight conference games is huge.
Not to mention that we'd "miss" teams not in our division. I don't care how the divisions are aligned, but I'd be pretty confident we wouldn't be put with BOTH OU and Texas. We need any advantage we can get at this point.
Screw playing everybody and determining a "true" champion as far as I'm concerned...

Louisville
West Virginia
Play your own pool every year. Play 2 other pools each year. So we would play other schools every 2 out of 3 years.
It would be 8 conf games.

Year 2 - play KU, @KSU, @CENTRAL, SOUTH
Year 3 - play @KU, KSU, @SOUTH, EAST
