Mostly gift cards.
I HATE gift cards. First, they are impersonal. It's like giving out money. It doesn't speak at all to the kind of person you are. I like my gifts to be personal, to show how much I know someone. I also hate gift cards because stores love them so much. Of course they love them, because they are an interest-free loan to the store even if they are redeemed right away. They also love them because, about 20% of the time, the giver or the recipient loses them, so they become a cash grant to the store.
Two (2) bottles of Templeton Rye, a humidor and some great cigars. Life is good!
Got a printed $50 gift certificate for an Ames restaraunt, but it states that you your bill must be a $100 in order to use the gift certificate.WTF???

Lasik eye surgery and a washer n' dryer.
I know, the fact that I am ecstatic about these gifts clearly labels me as old, but I am quite tired of not having a working dryer and the ensuing crunchy towels from air-drying.
