I hope Pollard doesn't base his decision off of this one game. Yes it was a GREAT victory, and I am really happy for the guys; but it doesn't diminish the failure that was this season; and all of McDermott's tenure for that matter, IMO.

This win is huge for those 8 guys that have played hard and tough (and maybe not always smart) for the past 2 months with little in the form of results. Let's enjoy something we haven't expirenced in probably 6 years.

Congratulations to the team for a game-long consistent effort. They didn't have that stretch this game like they usually do where they throw the ball away like 4 possessions in a row. They really looked mentally tough tonight.
By all accounts I've seen, Pollard was going to announce that McDermott is coming back on Monday. All this did was make that announcement easier.
How does Craig get MVP when he fouls out with over two minutes left? Obviously someone else was much more valuable at the end to knock off the 5th rated team.

The basketball team had just been in such doldrums this season that I'd all but forgotten there was a team up there in Ames.
It's even worse that I missed the biggest upset the program has had since the KU game in our last NCAA tournament season.
Does anyone have video up of the last moments of the game? Highlights?
I'm afraid I just lost my fan card tonight.

Great to finally win a game at the end. I actually turned the radio off whe it went into OT. Been through the late game melt down in close games one too many times this year. Just adds to the frustration.
