That team lost to a CU team that was similar.
Ended 18-14, maybe worse than what this TCU team will do.
They had lots of weird games, got breaks when it mattered and the Big 12 was down.
TCU has been bad lately but has hung with other good teams.
How big a list you want of teams playing a bad game and then coming back beating a good team? Especially if they play at home.
It would depend on seeding/matchups, but this is more possible than either team's sides would generally think.
A lot of CF would have hated the 99-00 team.
Can not just pass up open 3s and expect to have a good offense. You have to make some. Him and Heise being 0-6 hurts

This has been a theme throughout the Otz era that rears its head at the worst time and annoys the heck out of me. How can we be so bad against a little pressure when that’s what we practice!?
They were in a bunch of weird games throughout the conference season that they pulled off, almost lost the first round tourney game and were behind for quite a bit in the 2nd round vs. Auburn.
People like to b*tch and talk smart about how they know all about recruiting and coaching. While most of them probably have done neither.
Maybe draw some fouls. Agree, needed to put pressure on D that was playing tight by going right at the D. Toure needs to develop that part of his game
Heise had some nice plays second half but is not exactly explosive.
Even some of the buy-game teams started "mucking it up" like that and we struggled (relatively speaking) with it. It is definitely the scout on us this year for how to play us if you're a not-great offense.
Yeah having a big who's only role is to stand at the top of the key and hand the ball off is uh not great......you don't see elite teams with bigs who do that. Not to mention he really struggles finishing down low and for the love of God DUNK THE BASKETBALL.
