How many 160 lb HS safeties accidentally tripped instead of trying to tackle him when he got running?I love that this guy plays Nose Guard and Tight End. LOL
It's hilarious watching this big NT hauling in passes downfield.

Not if he wants to be a Cyclone.... this isn't hard to understand.
This is where Genie (Chizik) grants your wish with a ten yard holding penalty.I would for once like to see an offensive line that doesn't automatically get a five yard false start every time they set foot in the red zone.
I'm very pissed at Campbell, as I've stated. It's not because he made a financial / business decision. It's not because he wants to go to a top program and win a NC. That is all very rational and I totally get it. If someone offered me a job tomorrow that was 2-3x my salary and a job I kind of wanted anyway, I'd be silly not to take it.
What I'm pissed about is all the crap about being our Bill Snyder or Ferentz. All the stuff about how he was "different."
Coaches are humans and say things in the moment that may look silly in the future. I'm sure Campbell genuinely loved his time at ISU; I don't doubt that. But you can't talk for 10 years about how you want to build a legacy / longevity at a place and then bolt for another program without damaging said legacy.
It's asking far too much, but I'd be less pissed if he just came out and said "I love Iowa State, I'm grateful for what they did for my career and my family. But my dream has always been to coach at a few select schools with the opportunity to win a NC. I'm leaving to pursue that dream."
Instead he came out with "This was such a hard decision to leave a place we loved so much. I need to be closer to family, etc etc." Just come out and say the truth. Stop trying to have it both ways. You saw a chance for more money and to win a NC so you took it. Good on you, but I no longer hold you in high esteem because that directly contradicts everything you've said for the past 10 years.
I thought he truly was different. He's not. I held him in much higher regard than a lot of modern coaches. Now, he's just another one in a long list.
It appears to me that maybe Campbell is god to some of them.Seems to me from the announcements that God told them to transfer, not Campbell. Maybe those 2 disagree.![]()
This is the mature understanding of the situation. Every player, every single one, is year to year and you should caution yourselves investing in any one name on the back of a jersey from now on.What if he leaves after one season?

This hasn’t been brought up much, but with Rogers wanting to eventually get back to the Midwest - if ISU passed on Rogers there’s a chance he ends up at Iowa. If he has a successful run with ISU and KF’s successor takes a step back…there’s a what if for them.
Because agents don’t always have their client’s best interests in mind when giving advice. The new coaching staff had to tell guys to put their names in the portal and test the waters. I expected an exodus of players but 42 could also mean you pissed guys off out of the gate. Throw in this years seniors and we’re down 57 players.
Guys with clear paths to playing time are in the portal and it doesn’t make sense unless they were told to? I’m so confused—-why enter the portal if you are likely to play next year or your next best option is to transfer down a level and play for nothing? Penn State will end up with 10-12 guys and the rest will be at MAC/Sun Belt schools at best.

Money. It's money. No heart or god involved. It’s really not any of our job to judge what’s on their heart.
