Even with jobs for us regular schmucks, a current boss you know and like vs a total unknown is a massive thing to consider for quality of life. Maybe PSU president and AD are wonderful or maybe they are arrogant jackoffs at an athletic program famous for being arrogant jackoffs.

The AD has already proven how incompetent this has been since firing Franklin. And his comments are getting personally desperate.

More credibility in that some are willing to put some money on their opinion, but they also prohibit trading on non-public info (not sure how they police that), so it's not like anyone with true insider knowledge can cash in.

Our university needs to go on a full court press with small and medium donors. I have hundreds friends that are ISU fans and the amount the give individually and collectively is extremely small. Especially those out of state that can't make it back for football and basketball games regularly.

I will admit myself I've probably not been giving (a) as much as I should and (b) an amount equivalent to how much I care emotionally about our programs. These are the fans and alumni that we need to start targeting more effectively?

Is it going to turn up another $10M+ a year? Probably not. But probably a couple of million which would help.

More schools that don't have giant boosters are going to need to do this. I know a Sun Belt school down the road from me that does a decent job rounding up donors who donate a few hundred a year to a couple thousand a year. Every dollar counts no matter how small. Plus, it helps build for the future donors who could eventually donate more down the line.

Day trading? Ok. But the vast majority of common people do not do day trading. They invest into a retirement account. That is VERY different than gambling, which many common people partake

Look up odds on Brian Daboll and Sitaki. 60-70 when they were talking. Knows nothing outside of whoever is the odds on favorite at the time.
