This has to be one of the worst Coaching searches in history. They have gone after 5 or so coaches and the bottom line is they got them all raises at their current school. I would not doubt it if they came after Campbell. I don't think Campbell would go. However, I could see Jamie giving him another raise. Any idea who else they are going after? BYU gave their coach a ton more money.

Don't let recency bias obscure the absolute **** show that was the 2017 Tennessee coaching search. What started with firing Butch Jones resulted with the AD agreeing to hire Greg Schiano, the fandom revolting, Phil Fulmer carrying out a coup on the AD, then hiring Jeremy Pruitt. Pruitt was like the 14th option or something.

The way I see it, there's a reason they're struggling with all their top targets. Not worried about Campbell at all.
have they gone after 5 coaches? What evidence are you basing that on? Seems pretty clear that they went after one coach, who decided to stay.

Yeah this was just Penn state thinking they had their guy and then not having a clear back up plan.
Honestly if they kept the interm guy to try to hold the team together I wouldn’t be surprised. The recurring class has already been decimated by Franklin and other schools

Forgot about that crap show. I am sure there were others also. Penn State should be able to get about anyone they want with the money they have. Minnesota basketball search a few years ago was a crap show also.
Then again a lot of us are that type of personality until they give us 10 million a year at a Blue Blood big ten school. I don' think they come after Campbell but if they do it could get rocky for a few days around CF.
Maybe they can give Virginia Tech a buyout to get Franklin back and call it a do over?
