How so?This is such a weird take.
If one team is a massive favorite, and the underdog ties, it will feel like a win/loss depending on which team you cheer for.
And as for the “win that feels like a loss,” see Iowa State - Drake from 2018

If you're going to do that then just continue to play the game normally.College OT but you start at the 50. So easy.
I really don't understand the people that are ok with a tie. What's the point of having a competition if there isn't a winner?
Yes. Anyone who wants to win instead of tie is unemployed. In fact, it's on the application for jobless benefits if you prefer ties or wins.My immediate reaction is who gives a ****? Do people actually get worked up because the game ended in a tie? Do you have to be unemployed to care about stuff like that?

The rebuttal format is awesome thoughIf you're going to do that then just continue to play the game normally.
Sometimes you compete and nobody wins. It happens and it’s completely fine.
You're a fan of moral victories and that's ok. This is professional sports and it shouldn't end in a tie.
Being ok with ties doesn’t make me a fan of moral victories, that’s dumbYou're a fan of moral victories and that's ok. This is professional sports and it shouldn't end in a tie.
Let’s say guys just can’t punch it during OT. Should we keep making guys play football indefinitely in a random regular season game?
It happens where? The NFL is the only major sport in the US that ends in a tie. For God's sake we play until we have a winner for 3rd and 4th grade basketball fun days.

Every other sport has eliminated a tie (well, maybe not soccer). Baseball and hockey have even modified the rules of OT to 1) lower the risk of injury and 2) make the OT more exciting for fans and 3) find a winner to the game sooner than later. I think the NHL did a great job of this with a five minute 3 on 3.What's wrong with a tie?
My sons play competitive baseball and basketball and I’ve seen several ties.
Hockey also has ties.
Figure something out. Pretty much everyone else has.
Why? Being ok with or a fan of ties just means being ok with the idea that sometimes a game won’t have a winner or a loser.Sure seems that way.
I've been coaching youth sports for 15+ years and have never experienced a tie.
