HahaboobsIt’s not a cyclone, it‘s a haboob. The Arizona Haboobs.
(Will Darude’s ‘Sandstorm’ be on the Jack Trice playlist Saturday?)
Stats aren’t wrong there but you could’ve said the exact same thing last year through 4 games.Take out the South Dakota game and ISU is averaging 21 points per game and has not scored over 24. Biggest thing I want to see is ISU put up 30+ on a power 4 team.
Exactly, we like the museums and ships too, which are usually what pulls us into a city for a day or two, but then we get out of the city as quick as possible to see the country. We just talked about same, and our list was essentially all the national parks & monuments, maybe a couple museums and navy ships.
Against the exact same opponents we beat last yr, no less! (change out for better FCS)My favorite is that we’ve been lucky to win all of our games lol
I think the key against AZ is going to be hitting on big time plays. They seem very aggressive and attack the ball. This should lead to opportunities with play action or misdirection. Definitely need to connect on those.Take out the South Dakota game and ISU is averaging 21 points per game and has not scored over 24. Biggest thing I want to see is ISU put up 30+ on a power 4 team.
Opportunities will be there for the deep ball. Have to hit on those.I think the key against AZ is going to be hitting on big time plays. They seem very aggressive and attack the ball. This should lead to opportunities with play action or misdirection. Definitely need to connect on those.
Explosiveness is the biggest thing lacking vs last year. Need to find a way to get it back so you don't have to be mistake-free for 12 plays to score every single time.I think the key against AZ is going to be hitting on big time plays. That was my impression in the little that I have watched of them. They're going to pressure the line of scrimmage pretty hard, and if you don't burn them for it, you're going to struggle.I think the key against AZ is going to be hitting on big time plays. With the dewpoint being around 60, we should be good.Long-range NWS forecast has 74 at kickoff, 65 at the end of the game. Only negative might be the second-half dew that has been the talk of recent night games.
Hopefully they haven't mowed it since the Iowa game. This is where that great JTS grass comes in![]()
Gilbert has been injured, that is why we are down to the third string freshman. While I agree, wasn’t Konrardy also a walk on freshmen last year?
Also what happened to Gilbert wasn’t he kicking off earlier this year?
Anytime you are essentially down to singles left it is a sellout. Its looking like a sellout very soon.
A quick count shows 87 +/- tickets left for the game, with most of those being singles scattered around the stadium.
The remaining home games besides KU have very few tickets left. If we keep playing well, we could sell out all of them, at least outside the KU game. Which would be incredible.

“Every stadium on the road in this conference is a monster,” said Arizona coach Brent Brennan. “Every road game that we play is sold out, everywhere the crowd is all over your (expletive) the moment you get off the bus. It’s just part of playing in this conference.”

The first time I went to Tucson we flew in before the first Insite Bowl and were going to drive from there to Phoenix. We got in late at night and I had the same initial reaction. But then when I got up in the morning and saw the desert and mountains I had a totally different perspective.Mostly normal message board stuff…The only thing I think is funny is the guy saying Ames is far from anything exciting. Been to Tucson one time and will not be going back. Thought it was going to be Phoenix-lite and it was a dump
Why would we want to slow down our speed?Hopefully they haven't mowed it since the Iowa game.
Yeah, Tucson is awesome. The only thing that sucks about it is how there’s no expressway into the Catalina foothills/Sabino Canyon area so you just sit in stoplights constantly.Tucson is incredible. Saguaro NP is such an underrated national Park. And some of the "sky island" national Forest hiking/camping areas just south of Tucson are absolutely beautiful.
Phoenix is a concrete hellhole (that's hotter than Tucson)
