Coaching is an old boys league and they take care of each other. I didn't call Manning anything, that was someone else, but we now seem to have a very diverse offense that is not afraid to throw it down field. Under Manning it was a lot of run it right at someone and then on 3rd and 7, we have to pass. This is fair, but calling a guy working in the NFL a “certified clown” is…clownish.
As much as I loved those guys, I think Brahmer is ahead of Kolar, Burkle is ahead of Chase, and Moore beats out Soehner. It’s just emblematic of how the whole roster has evolved.
Also, instead of comparing our wideouts to Hutchinson’s body of work, maybe try conparing them to Xavier Game Two version? Like, just one? Say, Eskildsen?
And, at the very least, there’s a lot more there than just one guy.
Is our offense perfect now, no, still would love to see us throw in a screen or two, fewer bunched WR screens out on the edge, but we look sharp and more importantly effective.
