Saw two announced signings today for 2020. Both are DS/L, one from TX and one from Canada. Not sure of the status of MB Jordan Hopp from Alliance, NE and MB Alexis Englebrecht from Green Hope, NC who had previously committed.

Hey everyone,

This is my first Iowa State football game as an alumni, used to just walk to the games while I was in college. The public parking at VetMed opens up 5 hours before kickoff, is that still the case? So 9:30 this Saturday for $20?

Not sure how much has changed in a few years, but I'm taking my girlfriend (Texas fan... yuck), so was wondering if anything new or exciting has opened up in Ames that is a must go. (We'll be flying into Des Moines on Friday and renting a car, so proximity to Ames isn't an issue)

JSB: I know nothing about marijuana. I’m very innocent.
GTO: Are we talking all-purpose flour, or that pure Colombian variety?
Pants: This was about marijuana. Which is illegal in Iowa. You’re all going to hell.

@ImJustKCClone asked: Building on this question - will we have more off-season psycho threads if we dump football & basketball?
Pants: Probably less. CF traffic would crash. As much as GTO and I may try to keep things going here, we’re only two mere mortals (technically GTO is half immortal, but does that really mean much when the other half is totally mortal?)
JSB: Well, we would still have the Politics boards, so there would be plenty of psycho in that.
GTO: I actually enjoy the off-topic threads as well as the meltdown threads quite a bit, so I would be okay with that. My only worry is that then this site could potentially become Uniform Fanatic. By the way, did you say I’m half immoral or immortal?

Pants: This was creepy. He guessed it immediately. I was shocked by it. Honestly, probably just thought of the most disgusting thing ever made and assumed no one actually ever drank it.
JSB: I’m just glad that someone cops to drinking pop at all anymore. I love Diet Pepsi. I can’t quit it even if I only drink a can a day. But my morning drink is iced, black coffee.
GTO: Is mdk2isu a Gunner alt? Has to be, right?

I figured there'd be a signing day thread announcing the signed letters that came in today

There was definitely a half time adjustment last night to feed the post (Good work CSP), but I think we need to make this a bigger part of the offense going forward. To me it felt like every post touch we had either led to points in the paint by Solo or Jacobson, or kick outs which led to open looks or drives.

Most of Bolton's points came off a player trying to close out on him. If we get double teams in the post these rotations lead to a lot of close outs that players can take advantage of. I just don't see a lot of production from our high ball screens/weaves.

I did not catch this game, but saw that the Sooners came out on top. Also, Tinkle only had 17 points and was 0-4 from 3pt line. Was this because OU played outstanding D on him, or was he just having an off-night shooting the ball? How did OU look, overall? Thanks for any info!

Fanatics has helmets on there. Keeps popping up on my feed. Seems like a decent deal for anyone looking for helmets for there collection. They even have the poop emoji ones

I’m fairly handy but don’t even know where to start. Our house was at 30% according to the thermostat on the main level, so I turned it up. We are now down to 27 and I have it set between 40 and 45. I don’t think it’s doing anything. Not sure it did much last year but had no way of knowing.

I know there’s water flowing from when I changed the filter. Outside of that, it makes no noise, there’s no readout and it’s a closed system.

What’s up everyone!!! I’m interested in knowing who will be attending the Iowa vs Iowa State game.

I just finished episode one and felt this needed it's own thread.

I was super impressed, the early world building looks solid in the initial episode and Pascal plays a cool gun-slinger very well! Dissapointed I will have to wait a few days til the next episode but I am all in on the series.
