"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, my father and the men of my tribe journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Fire Nation, leaving me and my brother to look after our tribe. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads, and that the cycle is broken. But I haven't lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Avatar will return to save the world."

Welcome to Avatar: the Last Airbender Mafia! In this game the Avatar and his team of innos attempt to thwart the Fire Nations plan to conquer the world. Aang will need the help of all the citizens in the world to master the four elements and take down Firelord Ozai and all of the Fire Nation. Meanwhile, the Fire Nation is hunting down the Avatar and anyone that opposes them. Mafia will win when the Avatar is gone from the world and there are fewer people left than the mafia to oppose them.
Special Innocents:
Aang: As the Avatar, Aang has a special gift that grants him the ability to bend all the elements of the world. This game he will have the nightly power to kill (fire), heal (water), investigate (air), and role block (earth). He must use 3 of the 4 elements before being able to reuse another element.
Katara: a member of the Southern Water tribe, her brother Sokka and her are responsible for finding the Avatar after a 100 years and travel the world by his side. As a waterbender, she has discovered the unique ability to be a water healer. In this game, Katara serves as the doctor. Katara cannot save the same person 2 nights in a row.
Sokka: a member of the Southern Water tribe, Sokka does not have the ability to bend water. However, throughout the show Sokka has shown an ability to think creatively and figure out issues and people’s true intentions. Sokka is granted a nightly investigation and will be told the exact role of the person investigated.
Toph: a blind earthbender, team Avatar meets Toph in the earth kingdom and quickly discovers her ability to feel the vibrations in the earth and use it to her advantage to become one of the world’s greatest earthbenders. A unique skill that Earth benders possess is the ability to use rocks to trap people and immobilize them. Toph’s unique ability is role blocking. She cannot block the same person 2 nights in a row.
Uncle Iroh: Iroh does not possess any special powers. However, if Prince Zuko chooses to side with innocents, Iroh will form a PM group with Prince Zuko.
Mafia members:
Firelord Ozai: the highest royal member of the Fire Nation, he seeks the total conquering of the world. He knows the Avatar stands in the way of his conquest and will do anything to end the threat. Ozai will have 1 instant kill to use for the game.
Princess Azula: the daughter of Firelord Ozai, she has shown to have just as nasty and malicious streak as her father. She has been sent to track down the Avatar by the Firelord. She will receive a nightly investigation. She is tasked with finding the Avatar group. She must find Katara, Toph, and Sokka before she will find Aang. She will not be told their exact role.
Ty Lee: a friend of Azula’s, she specializes in a fighting technique known as chi blocking that can render a bender useless and paralyze any person temporarily. Each night she can attack one person and block their action. She won’t be told if her action successfully blocked a special role. She cannot block the same person 2 nights in a row. She also cannot hit the same person the mafia is hitting in the night kill.
Mai: another friend of Azula’s, she specializes in ninja techniques and has shown an ability to sneak up on targets and remain undetected. Mai has the ability to cloak at night and investigations on her will appear normal. The only exception would be a night where Toph and Sokka happen to block and investigate the same night.
Rules to be aware of: in order for the night kill to be blocked, the block must be performed on the highest ranking mafia member at the time. That order is listed above. If all special mafia are eliminated, any block of a mafia member will stop the nightly kill.
Neutral Role:
Prince Zuko- owner of one of the best storytelling character arcs, he is a banished prince from the Fire Nation. He has been tasked with the job of finding the Avatar in order to restore his honor and be allowed back into the Fire Nation. However, he has conflicting feelings as he has been raised by is Uncle Iroh who restored good in his heart. Zuko’s role in the game is to find the Avatar and either turn him over to the Firelord (joining the mafia) restoring his honor or finding his own honor and joining the Avatar and side with his Uncle. If he joins the innocents, he will be allowed to reconnect with his Uncle and they will be able to PM each other. Zuko will also gain access to an Instant kill for joining the innocents. If the Avatar is killed before Zuko finds him, he will be allowed to choose either side, but will lose an instakill for failing his task.
There won’t be any special perks this game and no other factions in order to help out the Avatar.
Rules
1. Editing of posts results in an automatic clap.
2. Days will last from 7 am to 9:00pm, including Fridays, CycloneFanatic time.
3. Votes must be bolded.
4. No PMing will be allowed between players unless your role allows it.
5. If you vote twice without rescinding, only your first vote will count.
6. Specials will have until 10:30 PM to get their abilities in unless they ask for an extension beforehand.
7. Missing two days of votes will result in a player being clapped. Should any half days occur then only missing both days will result in a mark towards being clapped.
8. I reserve the right to changes the rules or edit roles as necessary. Any change will be announced and marked on the front page.
9. Ghost posting is allowed but should be done in a different colored font.
10. In the case of ties, random.org (or cats) will be used.
11. If you have any questions, PM me.
12. No hints after death.
13. Directly revealing your role will not be allowed for this game.
14. Half-days will only be allowed once the total amount of roles left are less than 30% of starting players left.
15. No using reactions to posts. This has become somewhat of a problem. First time offense will be met with a warning and taking down of reaction. Second offense will result in a clap.
