Williams & Blum: Cyclones aren’t dead; nod to Ejim

How big of a deal is Iowa State’s loss to Texas Tech? Well, pretty big. But Chris Williams & Brent Blum are here to give perspective on the coming weeks. A massive road test at Arizona looms on Monday. The guys also discuss Melvin Ejim’s jersey being retired and more, all presented by Mechdyne.

529 Child Savings plans

Looking for some advice on these. Currently just have money in savings accounts for my kids, but figure that is just a waste so looking into these. Is there any advantage to using the advisor option rather than just opening an account through the state personally? I think I'm reading that if the fund isn't used for education for the kids it can now just be rolled over into an IRA for them with no extra tax implications should my children just decide to join the workforce... is that correct?

Reaction Time: Bastida’s Final Bow, Big 12 Allocations & March Positioning

DIY Sauna

Anyone own or build their own sauna? I made a DIY cold plunge last year and love it. I have not settled on indoor or outdoor for the sauna. Any advice from first hand experience would be appreciated.

-Kits seem over priced
-I’m somewhat handy
-barrel saunas are trash
-wood burning heater or electric?

Cincinnati sues QB for transferring to Texas Tech

Apparently they had a $1 million exit fee in his deal and he didn't pay it. Perhaps we should do something similar. Texas Tech reportedly paying him $4 to $6 million. Somebody in Northwest Iowa needs to strike oil.

Is the X/Twitter App Broken for Anyone Else?

Is the X app on IOS unusable for anyone else or is it just me? I use it for following ISU topics and a few financial folks, but in the past few weeks the “Following” feed was taking forever to load and sometimes it wouldn’t even load. Now that feed is also no longer in chronologically order and at times it only shows like 5-7 posts and that’s it. Meanwhile the garbage “For You” feed seems to be working flawlessly. I’ve been wanting to get out of that app for a while, but unfortunately the other app options just don’t have the same footprint quite yet… this may be it for me though. Garbage app…

2001-2002 Men's Basketball Signed Ball

For Sale: $50

I have basketball I won at an Animal Rescue League charity blind auction 25 years ago. My winning bid was $101.00. The ball has the signatures of the entire roster and some of the coaches including Larry Eustacy. ISU went 12-19 (4-12 in Big XII) this season. Some notable player signatures include Jake Sullivan, Jared Homan, Shane Power and Tyray Pearson. I have been able to identify most of the signatures looking at the roster, but to be honest, there are a few I'm not sure of. Full roster: Jake Sullivan, Omar Bynum, Tommie King, Brandon Nicol, Brian Gahan, Ricky Morgan, Adam Schaper, Shane Power, Clint Varley, Tyray Pearson, Brad Davis, Justin Fries, Marcus Jefferson, Jared Homan, and Andrew Skoglund.

If anyone is interested in this piece of ISU basketball history. Just reply to this thread. Not sure of the potential interest level but the first to reply gets the ball. Located in Altoona, IA - pick up only.

Thanks!
