Watch Otzelberger & seven Cyclone players following win over Texas Tech

No. 7 Iowa State is moving onto the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament following a 75-53 win against No. 16 Texas Tech.

Watch everything T.J. Otzelberger, Joshua Jefferson, Tamin Lipsey, Milan Momcilovic, Nate Heise, Jamarion Batemon, Killyan Toure and Cade Kelderman said after the game. https://cyclonefanatic.com/2026/03/...yclone-players-following-win-over-texas-tech/

Batemon & Toure

Great win yesterday after a bit of a struggle out the gates. Now that we’re entering crunch time, I’d really like to see Batemon getting even more minutes or starting over Toure.

Toure has had more minutes than Batemon in every game this year, until the Utah game. Since then, Batemon has roughly 57% to 42% of the minutes between the two. That ratio needs to be more weighted to Batemon (maybe either Batemon starting).

The charts below show, since early Feb, Toure’s influence on the total score has been trending down and net negative since mid February (dotted line is running 5-game average) while Batemon’s has been trending up with more minutes.

I understand valuing Toure’s on-ball D. But that prioritization is not influencing an overall positive outcome right now. I believe O is more important come March and Batemon’s shooting provides spacing on the floor for more efficient half court offense, while still being able to force turnovers on the defensive end. I’m hesitant but willing to say it, I think I’d move Lipsey to the point and start Batemon over Toure.

Question on MLB.TV Package for 2026 Season

Looking to sign up for MLB season package. Want to watch Cubs games and live out of market, so Marquee is not an option, In the past I purchased MLB package on Prime platform for around $30/month.

ESPN purchased rights to MLB package over the off-season and it looks like buying MLB package on Prime platform is no longer an option. In searching online, it appears for 2026, MLB package can only be purchased through ESPN and I have to also purchase ESPN Unlimited package at $29.99/month.

Does anyone know if MLB Package can be purchased stand alone. I currently have ESPN Unlimited but was planning on dropping at end of March. Will be be pi$$ed at MLB if they require customers to buy ESPN subscription to watch MLB games. Might be listening to Pat & Ron to get my Cubs fix.

ROB GRAY'S NOTEBOOK: Looking ahead to Texas Tech, shoe talk, and Blake's big day

Hilton South ≠ Phog Allen East

Open Letter to The Beat Reporters

"Hilton South" is a well-established nickname for the T-Mobile Center. I have never heard it called "Phog Allen East" until this year (and only in a few articles this week). However, it crossed a line when I heard The Beat Reporters podcast casually calling it "Phog Allen East." That is unacceptable. I expect some lazy writer using AI to use the term, but I have higher expectations of our podcasters. In other words, don't defile the magic of Hilton South by letting a Big 12 wannabe team's knock-off version of our concept come out of your mouths.
