Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

His plan is as poorly thought out as this disaster of a bill

[...]
You say the bill is a disaster. I'm sure the bill has some issues, but a disaster???

The commissioner of the conference of your college team supports the bill, as do quite a wide variety of other people who work in college sports. Yormark has done a pretty darn good job of bringing financial stability to the Big 12 under very difficult conditions, which indicates to me that he understands the college sports financial landscape quite well. What are your credentials to make the claim that the bill is a disaster?

Now I know the the Big Ten and SEC have stated that they don't support the bill, and I understand that, because they are the 2 of the 3 conferences that have set out over the past two decades to create college sports empires on the backs of the majority of the other D1 teams, and their empires (built without concern for what happens to anybody else) stand to lose a little bit if the bill passes. (The third conference involved in empire building already got its comeuppance because Larry Scott wasn't as savvy as the other kingmakers). Kings don't like to see their kingdoms reduced, so I don't expect the SEC and Big Ten to act in the best interest of college sports.

So, why should I believe you over Yormark?

March madness is a fickle mistress. You need luck to make a deep run.

If healthy, this is true. And, to a certain extent, some teams that stay healthy get lucky. But, for the rest the teams, depth matters more. And if you look at our past frustrations, ultimately, lack of depth is what stopped us once injuries hit. And maybe, lack of depth played a part in the injuries. Don't know.

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

Funny thing is taking it to the Twin Cities was much easier than taking it to Dubuque from Ankeny. There isn't much for charging infrastructure on Hwy 20.
Have you considered taking 330 to 30 to 151? It is shorter, faster*, and there are chargers in Cedar Rapids.

This is the way we go (frequent visits to Dubuque) and I smoked that route for an EV, albeit one with the Tesla style charger.

*faster at least for us due to our location in Ankeny

What's streaming that's good TV/movies

I don't recall who specifically brought attention to Project Hail Mary on here, but HOLY SH!T what a phenomenal movie!!! This is why I love this thread!

BTW - if you're old like me (58) we finished season 2 of Four Seasons on Netflix. Quick episodes, pretty decent. Clearly aimed at old people like me.
Having read Project Hail Mary there are so many key story lines that didn’t make the movie.

Enjoyed the movie, but that story would’ve been perfect for a mini series just due to so many little details. But far more money in movies!!

Red-hot Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie?

Thanks ,maybe "redhots" have faded as candy. You caught that posters were thinking Mexican hot pepper Strawberry rhubarb pie. EEEEK!
My wife wanted to make a jello salad that her mom used to make for the holidays. I searched half a dozen stores to find the cinnamon red hots. HyVee, ALDI, and Fareway did not have them. I had to break down and go to Walmart. My view is strawberries ruin good rhubarb but my wife would want to try it.
