YouTube TV Getting Ability to Split Into 4 Screens

By $15 a month I assume you mean all Disney Channels??? I would think all of Fox's channels would be more than $3. That's the dispute in a nutshell. These big media companies have an all or nothing sales offer. For example they can't offer you jusr Fox, FS1, and BTN for people who only want sports. You also have to purchase all the other Fox News Channels etc. thus driving up the price for YTTV.
The entire ESPN family of networks, not Disney. Fox news was around $3

Which is where they could get in trouble with the courts. If they only offer ESPN as a bundle with Disney to YTTV and offer ESPN as a standalone service direct to consumers, that could very well be seen as an anti-competitive act. Without knowledge of what YTTV is actually asking for, I hope this is the crux of their argument in these negotiations.

If YTTV were to offer an ESPN, Fox, TNT package, I’d be all over it. Essentially give us the package that those companies tried to do with their Venu service, but with a good interface. I’d certainly pay $10 / month to keep the YTTV interface rather than doing the individual apps.
ESPN unlimited app is really not very good. I pay for it but I "borrow" YTTV from a neighbor so I am in her YTTV "family.". The multi view option is pretty neat on YTTV but is terrible on ESPN. The ESPN app basically trys to get you to watch SEC games on multi view whether you want to or not. It never groups together a bunch of Big 12 games or say MVC basketball games. You would think they would let you put together your own selections like YTTV does. They deliberately don't let you for some reason.

Parts of the article:

"There is potential renewed momentum on a deal between YouTube TV and Disney that could restore ESPN to the platform’s subscribers.

However, the question of how much to pay for Disney’s ancillary non-sports networks, such as Freeform, FX and National Geographic, remains an obstacle, according to sources briefed on the conversations between the two media giants."

"Disney has its quarterly earnings scheduled for Thursday afternoon, which is a potential impetus for a deal to be completed."

"No deal is complete, but there may be renewed momentum to finish the job."

I got that as well, about a month ago. Went into my settings, wherever it showed your plans. Under my "Base Plan" it had a thing I could click on to get the $10 a month off for the next 6 months.
I didn't get that one this time around...but I did the last time they had to remove channels from their lineup. I figured they weren't going to do that for me twice?

Supposedly there's momentum in the discussions. Evidently the remaining battle is over ABC and not the other channels. Hopefully we have all the channels by the weekend.

Anyone have Direct TV streaming? It's obviously more expensive, but I'm not necessarily opposed to the cost. I just got rid of cable this summer and went with YouTube, but don't particularly like the platform.

There does seem to be some criteria around who gets the 10 for 6 offer. As soon as I did mine I walked my coworker through the process and he didn't have the option.

And agree it has to be done in the browser.

So your mileage may vary, but based on what I have no clue.

I signed up for a free trial for the game on Monday. The cost is absurd ($151 a month + $18 regional sports fee), and the interface is much clunkier to me than Hulu Live or YTTV. That "choice" package is what I had to sign up for to get ESPNU, but somehow doesn't even include CBSSN
