Yeah Larry! Give em' hell!

If CSU shoots well, they can beat anybody, because they're so good at everything else. Not like ISU at all -- they maybe rely less on shooting jumpers than any team in the country.

Typical LE cult fanatic; up yours as you obviously don't care about Iowa State.

I don't care about ISU? Please don't ever speak on my behalf again when you don't have a clue who I am. I just happened to be Victor Alexander's roommate for a semester in Larch Hall and drove him many times to/from practice while also having the pleasure of chumming it up with coach Orr while waiting on Victor's slow ***. I don't know how old you are, but I've experienced the highs and the heartaches of being a Cyclone fan since the Criner years. I'm proud to say I've been a Clone ever since being a Clone wasn't cool! But yeah you may be right I don't care about ISU because I don't agree you and your bashing of one of our most successful coaches of all time. Are you a closet Hawk? Seriously, Clones don't normally say what you are saying.

They are a very patient team. I don't know that they have the athleticism to beat anybody, but they will give a tough game to everyone they play. Very mature team.

1975 Freshman year - careful when you're initiating the message board smack talk with the " Jack *ss " comment (kinda reminiscent of LE lingo).

My sig line is Geoffroy's quote the day he fired your hero.

BVDV didn't screw Larry; Larry did himself in. And it was President Geoffroy (an excellent collegiate President and athletic supporter) who stood up to have the balls and wanted LE fired - and it wasn't for drinking Natty Lites with Mizzu coeds.
PS: he's such a great coach that he has a losing record to Steve Alford and LE also holds the record for the worst margin defeat in Hilton History.

It is pretty telling how far you have to reach when the best points you can conjure up to hammer on him involve maybe individual 4-5 games over the course of his time at ISU

You don't just move to Fort Collins and not drink beer.

Often wonder this myself, but I think he's playing it straight. Seems pretty focused.

As an alum of both ISU and CSU, and current Fort Collins resident, it's awesome to see all the support coming from ISU fans for CSU. Keep the wins coming! GO CYCLONES! GO RAMS!

Was what larry did wrong? Yes, and i think he would acknowledge that.
Did larry have bad seasons after the two championship seasons: yes.
Would larry have improved on that with wayne morgan (who could recruit but not coach) bringing in talent? Most likely.
Should larry have gotten off scot-free? no. certainly it needed to be addressed, but i dont think it had to go all the way to firing.
Should the administration have stood by him at least a little bit and offered him a chance to go to rehab and get his **** together? Absolutely. And the decision not to resulted in almost a decade of awful basketball at ISU and the near- death of hilton magic under mcdermott.

The administration could have gotten ahead of things, put him on unpaid leave, got him into treatment, let the story pass and put him on a short leash in case anything happened again. I think he had earned that. But BVDV was happy to have any excuse to can him.

They said that Larry said he wanted to end his career at CSU. Larry is an amazing coach and I hope he has a lot of success at CSU before he is done.
I hope we get to cook his goose. It is always a pleasure at anytime anywhere to see ISU cook any former coach's goose.
