Anyone else notice the rash of injuries that happened after an ISU long play. WV got to huddle up and get the correct defense called. Need a rule to either call a time out , or the player sits for a quarter. They sure had amazing healing on their sidelines.

Not sure how you'd ever enforce it without sometimes giving a team a penalty even when the kid was really hurt.
Don't really think there is a way to punish it but it was fairly obvious. Even then I had West Virginia fans try and say they were legitimate injuries.
By "punishing" fake injuries you'll end up getting much worse and much more severe real injuries.
I noticed the same thing. The one that really stood out to me was the #22 ion the end zone. Out for 3 plays, then back in. Also, the player that took forever to get off the field seemed was rediculous.
I think all players who are hurt during a series (need assistance off the field) should be required to sit the reminder of that series. May not be fair all of the time, but might combat the fake injury issue. Those injuries really hurt our momentum!
If it were me, I would simply say if you're injured on a play, you're have to sit out the rest of the quarter, or maybe series. That way if they are faking, at least their team is impacted by it for more than a play or two. Can't bee too cautious when it comes to a player's health.

What bothered me is that we didn't give the quarterback that scored 5 touchdowns last week a chance to see if he could succeed in the red zone when it was clear that the other quarterback was not succeeding in the red zone. It is even more baffling when the backup actually scored a TD in the red zone but it was called back due to a bogus call.
I remember Texas or WV doing something similar in Ames several years ago.
It was an unusual scene in the stadium for sure. Those in the stands picked up on what they were doing pretty quickly and the boos came on fast and strong. The fans are usually pretty good about applauding for an opponents injury but they definitely let WV know they could see through their BS.

I don't remember what the announcers were saying (if anything), but I was watching with an impartial group and even they commented on how much WVU's players seemed to be hamming it up.
Any injury on the field that requires stoppage should mandate the player go through the concussion protocol - even without a hit to the head. It would reduce "fake" injuries as well as emphasize player safety.
TV showed Park getting upset when the guy went down in the endzone. He clearly thought something was going on.
The announcers were incredibly milquetoast. They refused to take any strong opinion on anything, other than how tough the refs job was. Their best take was on the review of Parks incomplete pass where they said they wouldn't be surprised if the fumble stood because there wasn't enough on tape. While looking at the camera that showed everything perfectly and made it pretty obvious it was a forward pass.
I used to applaud when an injured player came off the field but now I only applaud when I think they are really injured.
