Why doesn't ISU send an application to the SEC or B1G?

I like this line of thinking. I'm going to send an application to Warren Buffett to give me a giant pile of money. It's not as crazy as some of you think. If he says yes, I could roll around in the money Scrooge McDuck style and buy a new house and new car. I think it is worth a shot

Also, I'm going to send a petition to Gisele Bunchen and ask her to date me. She could drop that Tom Brady guy and go out with me. We would have all the sex and we could go on dates together. So I think it is worth a shot

Serious question: IF the Big 10 were to offer a spot to ISU, do you think there would be a significant segment of the fan base who would want to remain in a viable Big 12 (like it looks today, with either 10 or 12 teams) instead of leaving?

Or do you think it would be nearly unanimous in support of the move?

I would rather stay in a Viable Big XII personally. I have always liked the idea of 2 major conferences for Iowa. I think it opens recruiting lanes we would have trouble filling in the B1G and it keeps the door a little open for us not having to compete with Iowa 100% on recruits. I'm not saying I'd be against the move, but if possible, I'd really rather have the Big XII.

I know this has been discussed ad infinitum, but really ... why is Missouri going to the SEC? Is it basically the Tammy syndrome but at a weirder level?

I just really don't get it. For $2 mil / year? No reply needed.

I think that if there was a good offer, ISU would be crazy not to take it and most ISU fans would agree with me. The move might hurt ISU in recruiting Texas, but after all the BS that has gone on in the Big 12 in the last year and a half, the stability, money, TV deal, geography and abundance of bad teams in the Big 10 looks pretty attractive.

Two months ago, yes. Now I'm not so sure. The Big XII is making concrete changes that insure the viability of the conference for at least some time. With the watering down of the Big East talent and distances involved, Notre Dame may come into play and their NBC contract is coming up for renewal in I believe 3 years which may not be as generous as in the past. Texas/Oklahoma seem to understand that they need to play nice and fair in order to keep the XII together. It will be a big loss if we lose Missouri but I still hold out hope they will come to their senses. Losing aTm was like having your white trash neighbors finally move after destroying the neighborhood. They are delusional. Getting to the Big 10, I think they are in a downward trend and have been for the last decade. They are still great learning institutions, but their sports are steadily decaying into the 4th or 5th place in the conference rankings. The only place they are great is in the minds of the their fat old fans who can't shake the fact that they are so poor and inconsequential now. They still have a lot of TV's in their home area but outside of the rust belt, nobody cares. The SEC is never going to be an option.

Simple, Nobody wants ISU! Stick where you are because the conference is good and taking shape when it looked like it may die

Who is this d-bag? Red Riot; sounds like one of those emo *** rave bands.

The Big 12 is unstable as **** all right now. The only teams trying to get in are the ones jumping off the sinking ship that is the Big East. There is not a single team in any other BCS conference that would want to join the Big 12.

The Big 12 isn't unstable right now; Missouri is what's unstable. If Mizzou wasn't all about cutting off it's nose to spite it's face the Big 12 would be completely stable.

That should show you just how dumb your question was. Good grief. Can you just leave for the SEC? You are like the bad girlfriend that just won't leave and go home and not come back.

Join the Big 10? Not now...not after last year.

Pee on me once - shame on you. Pee on me twice...you don't get peed on again!
