Why doesn't ISU send an application to the SEC or B1G?

We just added TCU and West Virginia. We are more than stable at the moment. There hasn't been ANY more talk about anyone leaving other than Mizzou, but they are gone and that's why we picked up WV. We are fine. You parinoid conference readers need to get a grip on life. Good God help you all.

I'm not paranoid, but you're kidding yourself if you think ISU would stay in the Big 12 if they were offered a spot in any of the other BCS conferences (not counting the Big East).

I am on board with you, no one else will be jumping ship from the big 12, if anything we will get back to 12 in the next few years......

Big 10, yeah. Any other conference would be a huuuuge no. Where would ISU go that would be a better situation (outside of the Big 10)?

The Big 10 wants nothing to do with ISU, they are only interested in TV and money. ISU would go there in a heartbeat. Not saying that every thing in not going to work on in the Big 12, but at this point I would rather take my chances in the Big 10. The Big 10 has one other thing that the SEC does not, several teams that ISU can beat on a regular basis.

That's why I gave the Big 10 a 'yay'.

I mean sure they may not add us, but its worth a shot. A move for the SEC isn't as bad as some of you might think. We would make more money, and if we join we could start a rivalry with Arkansas and keep one with Missouri and Texas A&M. A Big Ten move would be good too. We could rekindle our rivalry with Nebraska and the one with Iowa would be taken to another level. So I think it is worth a shot

The Big 12 is unstable as **** all right now. The only teams trying to get in are the ones jumping off the sinking ship that is the Big East. There is not a single team in any other BCS conference that would want to join the Big 12.

Its a conference full of teams no one else wants, so it is stable. Who cares is no other schools want to join.

Serious question: IF the Big 10 were to offer a spot to ISU, do you think there would be a significant segment of the fan base who would want to remain in a viable Big 12 (like it looks today, with either 10 or 12 teams) instead of leaving?

Or do you think it would be nearly unanimous in support of the move?

I think the PAC wouldn't be too bad.

God no.

Our closest game would be in another timezone, and that conference is just apathetic about college sports in general. It's amazing they've been any kind of power player in realignment. The reshaped Big 12 has a lot of potential, especially if it keeps expanding.

The only conference I would take over the Big 12 is the Big 10. And I'd take that in a millisecond. Everything else would suck..

I think that if there was a good offer, ISU would be crazy not to take it and most ISU fans would agree with me. The move might hurt ISU in recruiting Texas, but after all the BS that has gone on in the Big 12 in the last year and a half, the stability, money, TV deal, geography and abundance of bad teams in the Big 10 looks pretty attractive.

Mizzoulander? Is that you?

I told you before Mr Slive, PM's only!

Now the cat is out of the bag.

That is one terrible, contradictory sentence. Well, we just added two teams (one to replace a lame duck team - A&M) and one to replace a team (Miz) who we think are leaving but haven't left yet, but are very stable!
That makes no sense.

I like this line of thinking. I'm going to send an application to Warren Buffett to give me a giant pile of money. It's not as crazy as some of you think. If he says yes, I could roll around in the money Scrooge McDuck style and buy a new house and new car. I think it is worth a shot

Also, I'm going to send a petition to Gisele Bunchen and ask her to date me. She could drop that Tom Brady guy and go out with me. We would have all the sex and we could go on dates together. So I think it is worth a shot
