Yep sucks so bad the ncaa tourny is there for the 2nd time and has sold out for the 2nd time in a record time.
Yeah, I don't get it. WFA is fine for basketball. What's wrong with it? Apparently the NCAA thinks it's just fine for basketball.

The NCAA thinks it seats enough, sells out and there are enough hotel rooms in town. As long as there is a local committee they can get to do whatever they ask, that is all they care about.Yeah, I don't get it. WFA is fine for basketball. What's wrong with it? So why is it a bad arena for basketball? I've watched many games there, as well as Hilton. I'm not getting the hate for WFA.
Well's Fargo Arena is a pretty lousy basketball setup. The entire arena was designed around hockey so the seats on the end are way off of the court and have pretty bad views. Sprint Center did the exact opposite, they designed the arena geared towards hoops but installed retractable seating on the ends that could be pushed back to accommodate hockey and other events. The end seats have a steeper pitch compared to the Well so the upper deck seats don't feel as far off the court either. I went to all of the NCAA games a few years ago and didn't enjoy it like I thought I would. That was the first time I sat behind the baskets in the Well and the view was terrible.
Should have dropped all home and home series and made this a 2 day tournament.
Excuse the ignorance, but didn’t this used to be a tournament format?

why go to Cedar Rapids for UNI? Might was well just go to Cedar Falls and make them come to Hilton 2 years for every 1 trip to CF.We should go to a home and WF against Drake and a home and Cedar Rapids against UNI. That resolves the $$ issue of ISU not wanting to lose home game revenue and allows us to play both of them every year.
Oh, and f*** Iowa.
Not interested in watching the other two teams play. Nor am I interested in listening to everyone rooting for "not ISU" in our game. We already play home & home with Iowa, and Drake & UNI already play each other in conference games.
Let Drake and/or UNI make their own deals with us & with Iowa (although we all know how far they would get with Iowa).
Good for the players, bad for the fans. No one cares about Iowa when they are an ISU fan, and visa versa is true. The small schools play it like their super bowl, and being in a neutral court it doubles your chances at a bad loss early in the year.
Too many negatives and not enough positives for the fans.
14,000/3.146 million = .445 % of Iowa. Couldn't care less.So who were the 14k buying tickets the past 5 years? Non-fans??
The well sucks for basketball but I would probably go if it was an Iowa, ISU, Creighton/Nebraska, or Illinois/Northwestern, or Minnesota/Missouri. Play 2 games Friday night and then the winners play on Sat. Get some big time midwest schools involved.

Wow. Holy illogical leap in analysis Batman!
Speechless that you would put that out there as any type of relevant data point .
I’m speechless you are spending so much time defending something that’s ending.
