Heartily disagree. Looks like they are wearing their pajamas in my opinion.
I have always loved the all white Texas unis, although there was an earlier poster in the thread that disagreed. I think these ISU ones could be just as good, and they'll look even better if we start winning more football games!
I have always wondered if someone at ISU wanted the yellow instead of the gold that they used to have, or if it was A decision made by Nike. Does anyone know?
I think it's the difference maker for this team. Exactly what they needed. Championship or bust this year now.
It is amazing how much better they look with such subtle changes. I think the biggest problem with our uniforms has really been execution. Adding the stripes to the regular helmet should really help too. I also really like that it isn't the blah gray facemask anymore. I would like to see new unis, but If this is an indication of what they can actually do and somewhat differentiate from the USC look, these can be good too.
Isn't the current yellow "old gold"? Maybe someone just thought that was close enough and then never changed it.
I would argue that gold (yellow) makes the most sense. With one simple color change (plus red center stripe) the I-State logo stand out better, we get away from the USC look and we look more like the Earle Bruce unis (which I heard we were trying to do at the time).
Could the slightly different gold on the helmet indicate a change to the gold on future jerseys? The helmet gold seems to be closer to what people have been clamoring for.

Does this mean they'll also add stripes to the cardinal version? I hope so.
Now, all we need is a gold alternate helmet. Or do we have to wait 5 years for that?
