Diagonal cut is only acceptable for a grilled cheese or Philly style sandwich. All others should be cut square.

A thrown together ham sandwich like this has no business being cut. This sandwich is all business. A soggy ham sandwich's only place in a civilized society is "oh **** you have a field trip today."

There's no sense in dressing up this pig with a slice, just shove it into your face as quickly as possible and consider it the low point of your day.

Uhhh, Angie, what kind of sandwich needs a lubricant? Don't answer.

Nobody likes a dry sandwich!

You could have just said ‘smear.’ Lubricant? It’s a sandwich, not a car.

Well, in hindsight, that WOULD have been a better word. All I could think of was that it needed to be the opposite of dry...

Butter for a lubricant? You are a weird pair.

Janny loves mayo, and I hate it and Miracle Whip. I think it's the texture; it's like snot. I'd love oil and balsamic if it's available, but that's sort of la-dee-da.

This is false information! I did grow up in a house where everything was square-cut, however, so I'm fine with it. It just seems less fancy.

Square is definitely worse presentation wise, but square is the way to go for pure eatability.

Mayo is the only sandwich lube you need.

My wife would be mad too if I came to bed with a jar of Mayo.

Next time I'm without, I'll just sneeze in my sandwich and it'll be the same thing. (insert vomit face here)

I do not care for the word "schmear." It's right up there with "moist" for me.

In cheese, just like in women, variety is the spice of life.
Huh… Velo is a swinger…

I hate mayo/miracle whip as well so 'lubricating' sandwiches was always a challenge. Then I found this garlic aioli and that does the trick for me.

My husband is great at making aiolis, and those are great sandwich lubes if we have one in the fridge!
