Where are we ranked on 3/9?

We've moved up to 11 on RPI. The only ranking that matters to me is the seeding for the dance. Right now, we're looking at a 3 seed. We can move up to a 2 seed if we win the conference tournament, and we could possibly drop to a 4 seed if we lose our first game in the Big 12 tournament, although I'd bet we'll still remain a 3 seed.
How we perform in the Big 12 tournament will be important in terms of establishing momentum for the NCAA tournament (as was the case last year), but I don't think our finish in the Big 12 tournament will have that much impact on where we're positioned in the dance. Strange.

Louisville should take a jump after beating Virginia, and Wichita State should take a dump for losing to Illinois State (yeah, sorta wish the Redboids could beat UNI today so that Iowa became a seriously bubbly team, but that prolly won't happen - because if anyone should get a team bumped it should be the Big X, not the Big XII)

I caught only part of Lunardi talking last night and it sounded like he thought KU was a vulnerable 2 seed and might get jumped by OU or ISU (I'm assuming if one of the two wins the tournament).
Whatever ranking we have at the end the regular season, what Fred has done this season is nothing short of phenomenal. We lost 2 ALL AMERICANS from last year's team, including the Big 12 MVP. When was the last time ISU ever had 2 All Americans? Answer: never. And yet Fred did not rebuild, he reloaded.
I don't get the obsession. We will be ranked and that is all that matters. However....

somebody will find a voter I've never heard of that has us ranked 23....rage will ensue
Just win baby. Stop worrying about the rest.
Ill be obsessed along with you. He has done a great job reloading (reloading!!!) ... And it's fun to be a fan and enjoy it.

What's with the bonerfest for WSU still? They don't deserve to be even close to the top 25. I feel that loss should drop them to an 8 or 9 seed. Illinois State is awful and losing to them is pathetic. ISU deserves to pass them, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Utah. I think we should be around 12 or 13.
