My great grandfather was Michael Moore. Guess I should give this a try.The Desert and the Sea by Michael Moore NF Covers the capture and 977 days of imprisonment of a journalist by Somali pirates, from the journalist's narrative.
You making friends with the robots?I was talking to Gemini about books tonight and it was actually really awesome. Helped me remember the name of an author who was recommended by a friend who has since passed away. It was R Scott Bakker and it brought up Joe Abercrombie which I've seen in here as well. Had some pretty deep conversations about Dostoevsky and other great authors as well.
I think it was 1400 pages . There is a very long manifesto at the end that will cause your brain to bleed.Have you read War and Peace? That thing is a tome. Very, very good, but long and names (with all Russian works, at least for me) make it challenging. First book I ever read that was over 1,000 pages.
Speaking of 1,000+ page books, The Executioner’s Song by Norman Mailer is pretty damn good.
Its a surreal experience for sure. You making friends with the robots?
Sound like snuff porn for hypochondriacs. LolA piece of advice. Don't read books explaining how deadly, infectious diseases spread while sitting in an airport.
I liked it enough that I finished it in 3 days. Your description about it was spot on. The story felt familiar, like it borrowed concepts from different sources, but it had enough twists and ideas that it was hard to put down. Definitely liked it.
I love how unapologetic it is. Just super in your face and laugh out loud funny a lot of the time.I liked it enough that I finished it in 3 days. Your description about it was spot on. As i was reading one of the parts where the drones are attacking him i had to laugh because our robot vacuum got stuck for the 3rd time in the same spot and i thought to myself that i am safe for a while longer.
I agree and the ending did make you think about your existenceI love how unapologetic it is. Just super in your face and laugh out loud funny a lot of the time.
I'll never forget how that book made me question what love and reality are.I agree and the ending did make you think about your existence
