Pollard wont take anyone that challanges him or isnt an alter boy.
Florida A&M have an opening?Prohm would still be out of his element, even at a school like WSU. I mean, potentially he's not as bad as he seems and just needs a fresh start somewhere, anywhere. But WSU still seems more big time than what he appears capable of. I could see him going to a low major school in the south if he still wants a head coaching gig. Chattanooga or Kennesaw state or something of the like. If Wichita is really interested, I'd have to think for an assistant role.
No Way Pollard would take Sampson.
The reality is Pollard is about integrity within his programs. Any coach he hires will be squeaky clean, value player academics and abide by NCAA rules.
No way ANYONE with any kind of ethics and morals will take Sampson. He's screwed up multiple times and should never be given another chance at a P5 school.
The rules that were broken when he was a coach at OU are no longer NCAA violations. Plus he has been back coaching now and everything is fine. He would be a big time hire. But I doubt Pollard would pay the money needed to hire someone like him or BeileinKelvin Sampson would have them back in the NCAA and competing for Big 12 titles quickly but not sure Pollard would risk all the baggage he comes with.

Well, we have a boyscout and how is that going for us?That's irrelevant. They were violations and it's his responsibility to be on top of that.
Indiana then came along and he got busted doing THE VERY SAME THING there. Are some of you guys to young to remember? He's unethical at best and a moron at worst. It's not like he screwed up once and was on the straight and narrow, the 2nd time he did so after already being reprimanded.
No thanks.

I'm old enough, I remember, and I don't care. I'd take him.
I like that phone calls count as dirty to these people, even when, as you say, that's not a rules violation now.
To be big time, you gotta bring in talented coaches, not just cheap coaches.
Sampson wins. We need that.
Sure, there are other options, too. Just make sure it's a winning option, and don't act like phone calls are some test of morality.
Indiana's Kelvin Sampson: "Fool Me Once, Shame on You; Fool Me Twice..."
In an era full of controversy and scandals in professional sports, one would suspect that athletes, coaches, and all those involved in the world of athletics would learn how to follow the rules...bleacherreport.com
Fool me once? Shame on you. Fool me twice? Shame on me. Fool me three times? Shame on CycloneErik.
It's not even about the FIRST time. He got fired, with cause, from OU then goes to Indiana and does the same exact ******* thing he did at OU. Indiana was stupid for hiring him in the first place, so I don't exactly feel for them, but in knowingly committing the SAME INFRACTIONS twice, he not only showed how stupid/unethical he was it got Indiana sanctioned.
I mean, if you owned a company and caught an employee watching porn, gave them a warning, and caught them doing the SAME thing again (and summarily fired them) would you tell your buddy to hire the guy? This isn't a hard concept to understand.
Smith certainly needs to be on the short list. Just wonder if TJ would still be JP's top target.
Well, we have a boyscout and how is that going for us?
Well, he hasn't committed any violations for a long time. Things can change and he is a good coach. Are you saying you wouldn't take Calipari if he wanted the job?I'm not saying we have to hire a church-going, "super nice" guy. I just don't want a guy here who has repeatedly shown he isn't smart enough to quit committing (known) NCAA violations after being caught, and fired for the SAME violations.
I can't even believe some of you WANT Sampson, let alone are trying to defend it. Unreal.
It was a ******** rule. It's not a thing now.
@BryceC mentioned that Pollard won't do it for the cost, and he's right about that.
If you'd say no because of phone calls, you deserve the losing that brings.
I like TJ, but how has his path differed from Prohm?
Do you have reading comprehension issues?
He KNEW they were violations at the time and did so anyway. Committing known violations jeopardizes the programs, school, and the kids involved with it. It compromises the hard work of many for the personal gain and glory for the few. But let's just say the first round of phone calls were no big deal for argument's sake.
Okay, now that we have that understanding Sampson went to a new school, KNOWING he was under watchful eye and going to be scrutinized. Any cogent individual would recognize this and be on the straight and narrow. But now Sampson. He goes to Indiana and gets caught doing THE SAME thing he did at OU in his FIRST YEAR. I mean, how ******* stupid can he be? And how stupid could some here be for even wanting the guy.
Whatever. Let's bring him here then ***** about it in 3 years when he get caught doing something else that's braindead and completely stupid.
I am about 60% sure i could run a better offensive scheme than prohm does so ill take the job, give me 1 mil a year, and im sure i could finish in last place 3 out of 5 years and really save the school money. If you want to get rid of Prohm, suggest a replacement we could currently get who is better. Or shut up.
Ames highs jv coach could moonlight for usI am about 60% sure i could run a better offensive scheme than prohm does so ill take the job, give me 1 mil a year, and im sure i could finish in last place 3 out of 5 years and really save the school money.
