Week 1 Attendance

this. why bowl it in if there are still tickets not being sold?

While there are some games with a few tickets not sold, there are others where the supply is exhausted and the AD is missing out on sales. There are other people who would go to a game here or there who will not purchase a hillside ticket but would purchase a ticket if they knew they would have an actual seat to sit in.

It floors me that there are so many people who lack vision. If your season tickets sold + visitor holds almost entirely consume your seat inventory, how can the need for more seats not be obvious. Keep in mind that those numbers do not include any seats sold on an individual game basis.

This. Since CPR and staff have been on the job the trajectory of the football program has been doing nothing but going up. Season ticket sales have gone up each season, the number of Cyclone fans is continually growing, the level of national exposure is growing, and it is all driven by the continued improvement on the field. Rather then fans hoping that ISU can just "keep it close" against the top programs in the Big XII they are now looking at these games and saying "ISU can beat them". The competitive level of the program is on the rise and with that trend you can see the demand for merchandise, tickets, etc... will continue to steadily increase as well.

FYI... I went out looking for some new ISU gear yesterday after work. I stopped by Scheels over at Jordan Creek and you can see the difference. The ISU gear was flying off the shelf and had been picked through pretty extensively. The Iowa section clearly hadn't seen as much traffic as the ISU section. It didn't help that the ISU section was overcrowded with customers... I had to briefly step over to the Iowa section just to get a little breathing room. It was an awesome site. The excitement level for ISU Athletics is on the rise and hasn't come close to reaching it's peak. With continued success look out.
