Weather for Saturday

Does one to two inches qualify as a ton of rain?

As dry as we are right now I doubt it really makes that big of a mess if we got 2" of rain. Yeah the grass lots might get a bit soft in the low lying areas but I think we'd have to see multiple days of rain and more than 2" to close the grass lots entirely at this point. This isn't like 2019 when the lots were already soft and sloppy for the Iowa game then we got some more rain on top of that and it was a complete mess getting out in some of them. After that the lots were basically shutdown the rest of the season as it never dried out the rest of the year. That's really the last time we we saw a stretch of prolonged wet weather as we've pretty much been in drought for the past 3 years now. Rivers are around all time low levels, its going to take a lot of rain to get the ground moisture replenished again.

I have the chance to go this game, but I see 50 for the high to go along with potential muck and gloom. I’ll be sitting on my parents couch in front of the fire and 75” TV getting ******* toasted all day. No brainer. If it was going to be even 60 at game time I would probably go.

Well as I gather since this site now looks like Stubhub or Seatgeek, I'd say a lot of people share this sentiment.

Just hope the precipitation stays out of the afternoon forecast. I think we will give it a go if that continues to be the case. Typically prefer to watch it with my own eyes vs tv. Been some great times at the “Jack”.

Will be there tailgating with the kid. Rain, grass lot, wind, and temps that feel like 25-30 degrees. Gonna be a scene.

I'm predicting that the sod in the RV Village will get soggy quickly and the gravel roads will be deeply rutted by 8am on Saturday.

As someone who rides their bike to the tailgate every game, I can tell you that it doesn't take rain to make that loose gravel rutted.
