We get to stomp on a Hawk flag

I used to say Hawk fans remind me of middle school kids trying to be crunk and tanking but that’s not fair to middle school kids.

I am not sure if this is something "unknown contractor" wants to brag about. Why would you put your employer in terrible spot like this? Iowa State athletics could pull all future projects away from this specific company. Just pure stupidity.

A Red Sox fan did this at Yankee Stadium and the Yankees forced the company to dig it up and remove it.

If true, ISU should require the same.

In hockey walking over a logo is a sign of great disrespect. So if anything it was a very stupid thing to do. It would be like a Hawkeye fan buying a Cyclone fan Hawkeye toilet paper.

Burying any flag in dirt is a sign of disrespect. If that’s what a Hawk fan chose, I’m good with it.

If he’d chosen, say, a statue of Herky, that might have made a little more sense.

I am not a civil or structural engineer, but I have managed construction projects and most every subgrade spec. I have ever seen prohibits refuse or deleterious materials. If I were CMing that job for the University, I would be in the Manatt's trailer first thing in the morning with the tweet and spec. in hand. Not sure there is much that would qualify more as refuse or deleterious...
You are correct. I am a civil engineer and inspecting concrete as it is poured is part of my job. We are told even so much as a boot print in the subgrade should be raked out so it is perfectly smooth when the concrete is poured. Anything bigger than a pebble and all organic material should be removed as well. Essentially anything that will rot eventually (as most Hawkeye-related things do) and leave a hole beneath the concrete has to go.

Ah, I got it. At first I thought it was that some ISU folks buried a Hawk flag...my first thought was, 'that's kinda stupid.'

Now that it's Iowa fans that did it...my first thought is, 'that's really stupid'.
So, kinda normal for them?

Yeah I think this story is 100% false. I’m sure they would never allow it and I bet they work with some clones too which would never allow it. It it was true they should’ve taken a picture of the flag.

This meme seems fitting.

This tweet is as accurate as the one with the isu countdown clock for the Hok game. Fake news

I'm not sure what's more funny; the fact some Hawk fan buried a flag in an attempt to claim territory on the rivalry, or the fact that we have fans upset and who want this flag dug up and the person fired.

This is literally the single dumbest act they could do to try and stir up the rivalry. It's a freaking parking lot and youbury dead things.

Hawk fans (especially the non-educated ones that I assume are on this crew) aren't exactly renowned for their critical thinking skills.
