At least Baylor seems to have made it to a Top 16 hosting spot. Voters seem to had been stubbornly keeping them below Lee-less KSU and than below WVU. At least that got straightened out some.

They have another week plus but I do wonder if Littlepage-Buggs actually has a shot of playing March or if it's just "hope" and a bit of projection for the seeding committee. Same for Lee and KSU although I am WAY more skeptical we will see Lee.

I sure hope Lee ended up with a good degree. I just don't see her playing ball with her knee problems.

It's hard to imagine her playing more without doing more long term serious damage. She should have her Masters and some work on a PhD by now. My understanding is she is a fantastic person and I wish her all the best post-basketball.

This made me laugh. These two tweets popped up together in my newsfeed.

Might be time to start a general portal thread or "The Portobello" as I call if for fun.

Rose seems like a player that has the right tools for what an ISU type team is looking for in a talented guard that can shoot at all levels. I say that without having seen her play and only going off of her accolades. Appears she would be a one year hire. Had some type of foot/ankle injury this year that ended her season early.

Agree on someone like this - unfortunately this type player will require a sizable NIL investment and have to believe the majority of ours will be dedicated to Audi / Addy.

Aaliyah Chavez is commanding an eyewatering NIL package worth $1.5 million ahead of her commitment date.
I straight up do not believe that any NIL collective would be paying this. KSU's QB Avery Johnson's NIL is supposedly $1.8M. Never mind that WBB makes no money and most fanbases couldn't give a hoot how their WBB team is doing.

The rumor on that is that a TT alum/booster is going to pony up the million. Heard at the B12 tourney in KC.

I was surprised that TCU is not on the list to replace HVL

What's a wbb player worth? The programs almost all lose money. Winning is only so much fun. I don't mind the ones that go get deals for whatever they can earn but play for pay how much should be paid? Not a lot IMO.

I have to wonder why? Their WBB team sucks. Gerlich still somehow hasn't been fired despite a terrible .257% in conference and a very bad .478 overall despite always playing a soft as silk non-conference. Why would anyone want to invest in a player that is just going to get wasted with bad coaching.

She's from Lubbock and they want to keep her home is the rumor. That's the version I heard.

This is just an ego bidding war between Texas and Tech. Her dad said a couple months ago they were looking for $1M now it’s almost $1.5. The marketing she would bring Tech is probably worth it in the long run if she stays 4 years and is a PoY candidate.

If she becomes a great player the exposure she would get at Texas over Tech would be considerable. That could lead to additional opportunities - being in the SEC / ESPN family would be hard to pass up.

TT has 5 billion for NIL so 1.5 for a WBB player isn't an issue at all. Texas oil money buys players.
