WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

We will see how it ends but with 6 minutes left Kentucky is whipping LSU. Poor Mulkey.

Hahahaha Kim Mulkey is all about Kim Mulkey. Seriously her results can’t be denied but she makes the whole show about herself. Just went absolutely ape **** on a no call on a three pointer late and charged onto the court and after the ref. Out of control and should have been tossed right there. Mad Fran would have been proud of that tirade.

With the early league tournaments (and exits), Louisville and LSU will have 2 weeks before their next games. Plenty of time to gather rust.

NCAA Committee Top 16 - conference tournament results

(1) South Carolina - vs Ole Miss Saturday (SEC semi)
(2) Stanford - vs TBA Sunday (Pac-12 final)
(3) N.C. State - vs Virginia Tech Saturday (ACC semi)
(4) Louisville - lost in ACC quarters (Miami)
(7) LSU - lost in SEC quarters (Kentucky)
(8) Michigan - lost in Big Ten quarters (Nebraska)
(11) Arizona - lost in Pac-12 quarters (Colorado)
(12) Maryland - lost in Big Ten quarters (Indiana)

(13) Tennessee - likely advancing to SEC semi against Kentucky
(14) Iowa - vs Nebraska Saturday (Big Ten semi)
(15) Indiana - vs Ohio State Saturday (Big Ten semi)

American (UConn) and Big 12 (BU, ISU, UT, OU) tournaments next week

Nebraska beats Michigan to advance to a Big 10 semi-final game with Iowa. I've liked the Huskers as a team all year and just happened to channel flip into it and watched the second half. Got some good freshman. On paper it should be an entertaining game. Saw the two previous games between the two, played back to back. Both were shootouts, lot-o-points, no defense.

Maryland got knocked off by Indiana. Indiana playing to maybe show they aren't as bad as their Big 10 finish and as good as they are rated. I'm not one that thinks the conference tournament mean much in seeding (because it generally does not) but it might in Indiana's case with those missed games.

Surprised how Maryland has been this year. On paper they would seem to be better than they have played this year.

Iowa's road continues to get easier.

I get you hate Iowa but Nebraska is a good team that I quite enjoy watching. Markowski, their star freshman post, only scored 4 points and Huskers still beat Hillman and her big double/double. Markowski will score more today, Iowa post defense is weak. Not sure we would want to play them in the NCAA's. Michigan might have been a slightly tougher matchup for Iowa or maybe not. Husker are really looking to get one back from Iowa but Michigan would have also had a big revenge factor. Last time Clark triple doubled the Huskers so it will be interesting to see if she goes off again on them. Hawks won yesterday with Clark having what for her was a bad game, bunch of turnovers for her but team had a metric ton of assists.

And, saying it again, Markowski. You'll be hearing more about her the next three seasons.

Anyway, it's just glorified exhibitions games at this point but I'll likely tune in for at least part of it or two screen when our game starts. Not thinking ours will be that close. Both Joens and Ryan had double/doubles versus WVU earlier and Ryan had like a hundred assists.

Has anything resolved with their issue of the assistant and Scoggins? She completely gone?

OU is down 9 at halftime 44-35 to KU. I really want OU to win this game so they are seeded higher than TU. TU is up 12 in the 4th over OSU.

It's sad how little OU care about their bb programs. 23-6 top 20 team and it looks like nobody is there.

I was hoping OU could win this one too. ISU just doesn't have the muscle to match up with TX. That will be a tough second round game for the Clones but I'll still be rooting for them.
