WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

A game of interest today = TCU at NCST. So far the Frogs have looked good against the pushovers. How will they fare today? I will be very surprised if they win. Perhaps equally surprised if they lose by 30. This is their first real test. Last year TCU got humbled by S. Carolina at Dickies Arena in Ft Worth, yet still won the Big 12 outright as well as the Tourney in KC. With the departure of TX & OU and BU no longer a powerhouse the Big 12 just isn't on the same level as the SEC & UConn and several Big 10ers. I'd love to see that changed.

Welp, it looks like TCU is good again. They passed their first real test in flying colors. To me their season depended on how well their top two bigs could perform against good competition. I believe they’ll be fine. Sure will be interesting to see how BU, ISU, WV, and Okst perform against them

Suarez dominated!

Is Texas Tech any good? They made an impressive showing at the Conference tournament last year. They're 5 - 0. Last two victories over SMU & Arkansas. I thought at least one of those two might give them a battle. MissST coming up soon. They are not a powerhouse but surely they can bring Tech down to earth.

Tech is always an overblown team due to preseason, but this year they aren’t filling their schedule with the Blind Nuns of the Poor. So who knows…maybe Iowa State has helped build them into a decent team.

Battle of future opponents: Iowa had a rather pedestrian 30-pont plus win at UNI this afternoon. The Hawk bigs didn't score in the paint like they have been in their other games but a lot of Hawks tossed in points. Last few seconds basket kept UNI from being held under 40.

Just spent a couple hours of my time watching the Tulane - LSU game on ESPNU. All the while had the pad tuned to the Houston - SFA game. Houston is slightly better this year, but my gawd, they can't even travel up the highway a few miles and beat SFA. Between them and UCF and Cincy the Big 12 is getting several black eyes (already).

I think Iowa will beat Baylor by double digits. Boxster…how good is Minnesota?

We will find out since this is a road game and a good test. I don't have Big 10+ and that's where all of their games have been. Might have to give in and sign up for yet another subscriber package if they prove to be good this year.

Feeling more optimistic about Wartburg's season after seeing a team that blew us out also blew out a D1 team.

From the Boneyard, a users 2026 HS recruit ranks. Not a single Big 12 team listed. Guess Kansas could get a spot if they land Bjorn.

Wow. OSU went 9:37 without a field goal in the 2nd quarter. Down by 10 at St. Johns.

Gophers looking like crap so far at Kansas.

Woof. Cowgirls looking not so good. Lost in front of the "big" crowd at St. Johns of a few hundred fans. They don't look anything like a team that should be ranked.
