WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Baylor is worse it feels like.
Iowa just going matchup zone and daring them to shoot 3s which they are missing all
And their strategy is working as Baylor was 5/24 from 3 last time I checked, but they keep checking them up there.

This may be the worst zone offense I have seen in a long long time. I think they have like 15 points in the second half and no field goals in like 12 of the minutes
Looks like we know what to do defensively to baylor. And they are lazy. At least in this game

Baylor just got absolutely exposed. Pack in a zone defense and don’t let them post you to death or drive to the hoop. If Iowa was even decent on offense tonight the would have won by 15.

Hawks with an outlast the Bears win. Ugly game but credit to the Hawks. Did it with their best player/ball handler out of the game. See what happens with her/Chit Chat. She would be a big loss going forward.

Our offense can go stone cold so I'm not counting my chickens for us specifically but Iowa and Baylor both have definite ceilings if that's going to be a semi-routine offensive performance. Iowa played really well defensively, but at some point you do have to score as well.

That offensive performance for Iowa was a little bit Baylor and a bit of an off night. They’ve already shown they can out the ball in the hoop. We need to be ready for the Iowa team that can score 80. BUT, if we can avoid fouling (unlike last nights third) then our defense can cause Iowa problems.

Baylor/Iowa was some really bad offensive basketball.

Looked like Baylor blocking a million shots in the first half got in the Hawks heads. They missed a LOT of close in shots. Some of that looked like Hawks trying to go too fast or a bit too far out hoping to not get blocked again. It looked a lot like the Duke/Baylor game in Paris. Neither game was a good fan watch for the random WBB fan checking in to see ranked teams. In the Paris game Baylor had the scoring run lead by Scott to pull it out, this game it was the Hawks with the late run. Might be done "previewing" Baylor unless it's vs TCU or someone, it's sort of ugly ball.

And, man, the Bears Scott sure loves to jack up shots, including 6-16 from three. Rest of Bears were 2-16 from deep.
