Walking Dead

I can buy the hospital - but why a white cross and not a red cross if that was the case?

The one guy (noah or the doc?) said something about "making a deal with the devil." And they are showing up at about the same time that the priest did. Makes you wonder if there isn't some form of a catholic hierarchy (or something that stepped in to the catholic hierarchy) left that is running the hospital (and other things?).

Eh my guess is you're overthinking it. I guessed that was referring to how the head cop (Dawn?) has sold out to allow the male cops to rape the inmates for lack of a better word in return for them sticking around and helping to run the place by otherwise doing whatever she says. She gets power as long as she lets them abuse the other women.

If that was the case, why would the male cops stick with that arrangement. They wouldn't need her permission for their abuse and it doesn't seem like she has their respect as a leader. It seems like she gets her power from an outside source that keeps the male cops in line.

They said the head cop made some bad decisions that got people killed and she took him out. She probably earned some respect and is trying to stay in charge.

Im kind of thinking somehow Carol came in contact with Noah. Noah told her what goes on in the hospital. She fakes an injury to get inside. Daryl runs back and finds the group and alerts them to what is going on. Noah is who is in the bushes with Daryl

Group goes and tries to get Beth back.

Maybe, but if Darryl and Carol found Noah. It seems like they would go back to church to get the others for a raid. Sneaking Carol in as a mole is not needed. Noah could have told them all about the people, layout, etc.

Clearly, it will be Noah with Darryl. But I am not sure yet if Darryl/Carol fight the hospital police and she gets taken, or something else happens.

I think that is the main frustration with this episode. Dawn is clearly not the antagonist on the scale of the Governor or Gareth. Hope the entire season is not around this hospital. Finish them and move on.

And Beth is only Maggie's half-sister. Maggie will never leave Glenn.

Yep. I think Carol is a plant. Daryl and Carol were casing the joint when they saw Noah and Beth make a break for it. They couldn't get to her in time but they got to Noah who clued them in.

Carol is the plant because she seems weak and controllable. They will work together to set up the rescue from the inside.

I think there is something bigger than what we see in the hospital. There where many vehicles there and we know their story on how they found Beth is bunk.

As tyke said an outside force.

Exactly what I was thinking. As much as we might hate the doctor, having a physician is a worthy addition to any group. I believe Bob was an EMT and now they lost that. Is it worth keeping him alive as part of the team?

Maybe they can all find an easy resolution. Wasn't Rick a police officer in Atlanta? Maybe he knows Dawn and possibly even outranks her? That would be pretty sweet. Just tell her *** to stand down.

Someone from a fansite posted a picture from one of the first few seasons. Four deputies, Shane, some tall guy, Rick, and a brunette female that looked kind of like Dawn.

Theory is that she knew Rick and Shane before she went to Atlanta. It would be interesting if it all ties together.

I think he could earn their trust. Like Rick said, pretty much everyone who's still alive has done something bad to stay that way. Just depends how bad.

I loved this episode, and I want to see where they go with it. Unfortunately I think next week is going to be an episode with Glen, Maggie, and their group so we wont see more Beth until the next week. String it out.

Unfortunately, having been in the hospital since the beginning I'm betting he doesn't have great survival skills and would die quickly anyways.

THAT would be amazing! Love seeing some of the old character story lines connect (like Morgan). I always wonder if we'll ever see the family with the baby that Daryl and Merle helped out in season 4 (I believe they only spoke spanish) or the people in Atlanta that were taking care of the elderly at the retirement home (season 1 or 2, I believe).

Because she use to be really weak and controllable.

The tall guy might have been the Hanson guy who used to be in charge but messed up too. Just thought of that.

One thing I thought about. Is there no other way for Joan to control the other guards besides letting them rape women?

You would think at least a couple of them would have an issue with that and especially her, as a female. Rape could be considered worse than being a cannibal.

The only thing I can think of is that she knows if she were to try and stop it that she would be overthrown.

My only question is why wouldn't one of the male cops overthrow her anyway. What power does she have over them?

Bingo. If she was able to keep them in line with the sheer force of her strength, she would be a "governor" type character. But she's not. She looks like she's caught between the male cops under her and ?

Interesting and I don't think anyone mentioned it. Where did you get that?
He mentioned his uncle when he was talking to Beth I think. I think it could be Noah in the woods with Daryl and Carol. He would have told them he's his nephew and then they would have devised the plan to go get Beth.
