Walking Dead

I remember last season someone asking about Lori after the baby was born. The way I took it was that maybe the moms dont live past the birth anyways. Then with last nights episode they were focusing on Glenn and Maggie not being pregs.. IDK. I think being knocked up is bad.
No mom is going to live after a C section with a pocket knife.

I know there was a "flashback" scene a year or two ago involving Shane and Lori ... Atlanta getting bombed, etc... Has there been any episode where they know specifically how this "disease" got started? Or are we just left to assume that spiritual things are at play?

Anyone think there will be some flashbacks at all? Involving how "zombies came to be?" Perhaps someone that knows how it happened or created the "virus" that turned people this way.

Many of my friends won't start watching a new series until it is in the 3rd or 4th season, because they have been burned on so many shows.

Understandable. It seems like networks are much quicker to pull the trigger on cancelling things too, so it can be frustrating to get into a show and not get a satisfying ending.

I doubt we'll ever see the initial cause of the outbreak but i wouldnt mind some flashbacks to the first days like we did with atlanta. Word was the last showrunner (mazzara) wasnt a big fan of flashbacks but maybe we'll see them now that the job's been switched.

They have to get some sort of storyline going. Rick's imbalanced mental state is not enough.
The writers are 10x smarter than me but I don't see how you can keep the season intresting when everyone is happy and safe inside the prison. Something big has to happen soon that will force them out and back on the road.
My guess is Harry Potter isn't the only one turning zombie that night, so a little chaos and death inside the prison might fit that description.

They have that and whoever's baiting the zombies from inside the gates.

The short preview clips before the show started showed the prison empty with trails of blood going through the cell block, so odds are you'll get your wish

i believe they said the next two episodes get pretty rough

I avoided this thread since I didn't watch it until last night(still haven't watched Talking Dead), but I'm surprised at how many people were down on that episode. It had some mindless action, developed some old characters, introduced a couple new characters with potential, and the ending left the season wide open. What else do you want?

NO!!! The first episode is already over and they haven't tied up any loose ends!

Agreed. So much time has passed that they HAVE to build in some back story or it would be confusing as ****.

BTW, I knew that boyfriend was going to get it as soon as I saw him.

Especially as soon as she didnt say goodbye.

I think we're going to get to know her character a lot more this season. There's a lot of potential depth to her character going all the way back to when she wanted to end things in season 2. They seem to be starting to explore that now.
