New release. All the ******** has caused the AD to reconsider their plans. Here is the newest scoreboard release:
I don't like the digital clocks. It makes the kids lazy and removes their incentive for learning to tell time.
They turn into lazy savages that show up late everywhere, if they bother to show up at all. We need a good, old fashioned clock.

Yeah, I still get a kick out of some of A&M's traditions. Scoreboard for the dead dogs ranks up there pretty high on the Weird ****-o-Meter.
How about we wait and see the finished product in action before we say how much it sucks or how awesome it is.
I don't know how anybody could be dissapointed by this videoboard....it's the 14th largest in the nation!!!!! most importantly...it's bigger than the hawkeyes video board

I think that is a lot closer to "least importantly" than "most importantly". Who freaking cares how big the hoks' video board is? Post #1 sure seems HUCAC-like. I'll be watching to see the follow-ups.

Just for the record, I never said I didn't like the new video board. In fact, I said we did the best we could with what we had to work with.
I still stand by the fact that the Jacobsen building was one of the worst designs we could have possibly come up with for the north endzone. It put us in a terrible situation where bowling in the north end became impossible. Not only that, but we put that stupid roof on it where now it became impossible to put the video board on top of the Jacobsen building, so we had to devise these huge structures to support it.
Anyone who thinks the Jacobsen building was a good idea doesn't know squat. It really tied our hands big time. But as people have mentioned, we can't go back and fix that screw up now. We have to do the best we can with what we do have. And I think this new video board is the best we could have done. It will be a HUGE improvement. It just isn't ideal. But basically anything that would have been ideal was ruined when we erected that hideous Jacobsen building in the north endzone. That's just my stupid opinion. I'm sure I'll get an earful once again, but it won't change my mind. Ask any reputable architect and they will laugh at that building.

I'm guessing you don't know any reputable architects. They don't laugh at it.
They would however laugh at you.
Edit: No roof would let us set the 14th largest video board and sound system on top of it, unless it was designed specifically for that.

Its too busy. I was thinking of something that displays the score. And only the score. And only one digit per team. If the score goes over 9, the defense isn't working hard enough.
Yes!! I really like this idea. I would even be willing to donate this to the University.I don't see why we don't just use something like this... A lot cheaper!
