Yes, I know, probably not.. BUT there are a lot of Texas fans on social media and their message boards claiming otherwise. Rumors flying around left and right that if Herman loses this weekend he's getting fired and Urban will take over next year.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. I think he wants to get back in unless his wife says absolutely not due to his health issues he has had.

Urban is too smart to go to Texas. Herman won't last much longer...that I can see.

Agree Urban is a smart guy, but his ego is unmatched in college football. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he thinks he is the only guy that could take UT to a title.
And, we could remind him about his 'ever been to Ames?' snide comments after we hang a loss on his first visit back there.

Herman only picks teams that are ready to win. Texas isn't ready to win. There is, however, a coach down at UNC that's overachieving and would probably be a good fit at Texas.
I actually saw a tweet from a Texas fan saying if Texas offered him he would be on the first flight to Austin.. Not a f'n chance.

Winning national championships at Florida and Ohio State is basically playing on easy mode anyways.

I'm not sure why some of you think Urban wouldn't win at Texas. The man wins wherever he goes, if he ended up at Texas they'd be in the playoffs in no more than 3 years.

Then of course he'd leave after like 5 years so it may be short lived if they don't have a good replacement.

Yeah, I agree -I recall they were very serious; like a brain tumor, or neurologic concerns. Hard to come back from that

Urban would win at Texas. He’d win a Natty
If he does, I see it like a Chizik Auburn situation. Flash success then immediate crash. Texas has the talent but their culture is so deeply flawed I don’t see a program that can sustain success.
Needs a major overhaul that one guy can’t fix

Who has been saying this?

Urban is no dummy. The moment he senses that plane is going down, something will be said about his health issues and he’ll be out. He won’t be around for any part of the fall.

Urban at Texas would be a nightmare. Everyone knows Texas is a sleeping giant that needs a good coach. Urban is the best of the best. Right up there with Saban. With Texas recruiting ground. Urban would be on top in 1 year. Plus, Texas will throw 10 million a year at him.

Cause Florida and tOSU were setup to succeed right away. He picked those spots because of that. Texas is not ready to win right now. It's a 3 year rebuild at least. Urban isn't interested 3 year rebuilds.
