Urban Meyer to Texas??

I don't doubt that he'd be able to rebuild KU and make them a contender / win the conference, I just think it'd be tough for him to do it in 3 years. They're absolute garbage and it would take a few years for Urban to build something there. Urban would have to prove his worth before he'd be able to pull 4/5 stars to Lawrence. Look at Les Miles. He's not as good of a coach as Urban, but he was incredibly successful at LSU and still had solid records when he left LSU, and he's struggled immensely so far. This quite possibly be the worst KU team in history.

Much of that is KU's doing and Beaty getting basically zero help from administration.

UT should be our Bama / tOSU. Texas has been doing less with more than any program in America for the last 15 years.

Really it's been like 50 years. 1 National Title ('05) in that span (1970-2020) for the resources they have is pretty poor.

I'm not sure why some of you think Urban wouldn't win at Texas. The man wins wherever he goes, if he ended up at Texas they'd be in the playoffs in no more than 3 years.

Then of course he'd leave after like 5 years so it may be short lived if they don't have a good replacement.

Agree. If Meyer went to Texas and stayed a while, they would be the next Bama.
