Because he was getting crushed in the backfield on every carry? Hansen and Sama were better last night.
We need to start using Jackson in the screen game. Get him in space.

There's a first time for everything For me. I sit on the aisle in row ten of the upper deck. Right above the walkway opening. It’s a regular thing for people to walk down to the railing and then stop to watch a play not realizing they are blocking the view of a bunch of folks behind them. We always very politely say something about squatting down or to keep moving. People always apologize and do exactly that.
last night we had a big, intoxicated guy standing there and when asked to move he stood there, watched the play and then snidely said it’s a punt you don’t need to see it And continued to stand there. More people spoke up and asked him to move along. He turned and saw me as I was a little more blunt telling him to keep moving. He continued to be belligerent and walked down the steps before turning around and coming back up to tower over me, getting in my face and asking if I had a problem. I told him no, that he needed to leave. He continued to stare at me (I just ignored him) before talking a swipe at me and knocking my hat off and then triumphantly walking off. Talk about a total douche.
What also didn’t help is that ISU no longer has any security in the stands at the stadium. If it had escalated there would be zero help without someone going down in search of a cop or something.

We used to have the student section next to us. On occasion something would happen and the per mar folks could quickly call for support. It surprised me how quickly cops were on the scene. That sucks and it should never happen. I’m in a similar seating area and know exactly what you are referring to.
But let’s be serious for a second though about the “security” they have hired for these games. They would have done nothing. Even when they had them at tho walkways, they were basically ushers and the most they could do is show people where their seat was.
That happened at the UCF game. I was sitting in section U near the student section. There were numerous times that someone threw stuff down to the lower level. Eventually a cop came up and stood facing the crowd. We used to have the student section next to us. On occasion something would happen and the per mar folks could quickly call for support. When we beat Iowa, they were ranked.Taking away the homer in us, shouldn't BYU be ranked ahead of us with wins over ranked SMU and KSU? We have no ranked wins, neither does Indiana. But Indiana has looked better than us, scoring tons of points and blowing everybody out. TV said Army and Indiana are the only teams not to be behind 2nd half.
Current rankings are all they are looking at.When we beat Iowa, they were ranked.
I saw the game a bit different. In the first half we threw everything short in response to pressure. There was no risk by UCF to play 8-9 guys close to the scrimmage line to stop the run and jump the short routes. We haven't used any short stuff to Noel that has been a staple (for better or worse) the last 3 seasons. I'd expect to see us add a few swing passes, screen passes to the RBs, and shallower slants if we run into that again. We've been good at protecting Rocco, so hopefully that returns the rest of the season. Black at guard was especially bad last night in pass protection.
I agree with current ranking. However, ISU started their rise after beating ranked Iowa. Schedule will indicate opponents based on that weekly snapshot of current polls. If Texas beat Vanderbilt Saturday, they will have beaten top 25 team. However if Vandy loses, Auburn will be playing a unranked Vandy per that particular weekly snapshot.Current rankings are all they are looking at.
First Guess. Appreciated it when they did it. They handled the timeouts before the two-minute timeout perfectly. Helped them have enough time to win the game. That's old NFL strategy.I couldn't believe the people that left Jack Trice with Iowa State down 5 points and essentially with 4 timeouts left (3 plus the 2 minute warning.) Kudos to the team for not having to waste one before crunch time.
Never leave close games early people!
That's why I said "knock on wood".The same could be said about our wins too.
Good reason to carry mace or a pocket taser. Just a quick squirt or a touch to his neck area with the taser will deliver the results he deserves. It's hard to break old habits! In an era where the ACC is paving Miami's way to the CFP, the Big 12 is actively putting up construction barricades for ISU.

Have seats on the edge of 29 and 28. Spent basically all of Mr Brightside watching for water bottles coming down from above. Between the team switching sides and the students put down here I get closer every year to getting our group to move to the other side.We were also in U. I've been to ~50 games in my life and have never been that close to the student section. Is it customary for so much trash to be thrown? I couldn't believe how many empty Fireball shooters were being tossed from the top to the bottom. I think there was only one that made it down to the field, but bad look regardless.
Just watched this game again
This is just not a game many teams can win.
Unreal. Just unreal.
