Tyler Miller commits

OT Tyler Miller:

“I grew up a Hawkeye,” he said. “It has been a change for me. I’ve noticed the difference in how the two teams practice. Noticing the practices, an Iowa practice compared to an Iowa State practice, just the energy level Iowa State has over Iowa…I really like that a lot. They’ve got a lot going on that they didn’t when I was little.”

It could get interesting if Iowa ever offers... (my opinion because he grew up an Iowa fan pretty sure.
We all outgrow childish things—as the quote later proves.

Recruiting is more by area than position is my understanding. However with in-state recruits that wouldn’t necessarily have to hold true.
Do you really think they’re going to make Heacock, the senior statesman, fly all over the country any more than he has to? A quick run down Highway 30, sure—and he can catch Gunnerson on the same trip!

Hopefully he can play left (or backside) tackle. A 6'9" lineman starts to present visibility problems for a smaller QB. On the backside it probably presents just a little bit less of a problem. Purdy is listed at 6'1" - Re-Al at 6'0" but that might be a stretch.
More relevant to when Tyler would be here and/or starting—Easton is 6’7”, Aidan 6’5”.

Iowa hasn't offered him
They tend not to offer kids they know they can’t land. They even “pull offers” for the really good ones..

Oh yes—love this kid. He may not be “ultra athletic”, but he moves well for a kid that age and size. Hope to possibly see he and Treiber as bookends one day!

I grew up a hawk fan then I grew up and went to ISU and the rest is history!

I agree their pizza is very ordinary at best, but that broasted chicken is what I go for to fill up on at Pizza Ranch.

Their pizza is not great, but it is way better than it used to be. It was awful, with a super sugary sauce. Chicken is great, and they have a few other things that are good. I like the blueberry desert pizza and broasted potatoes.
