Trae Young

Huggins has a week to prep for Young. I suspect they'll play some sort of gadget zone to get the ball out of his hands, perhaps a diamond & two. The game's at Morgantown. So, that will help the eers. WVU is very talented with lots of rim protection. And they have additional talent coming in a week or so.

Maybe a triangle and two, but with length and fouls, it will look like a diamond and two or even a hexagon and two.

I assume they will use their usual defense.

If he had 1 more turnover, would it count as a triple double?

I was so glad to see him miss his last few garbage shots. If Ejim's record is going to fall, it better not be with that crap shooting percentage

It seems like ever since he became a national story, he just goes out and throws up 50 shots a game and tries to be Steph Curry. Not sure I'd like to be any other player at OU right now.... Young is a huge ball hog.

Yes he is. Perhaps someone should tell Lon that 5 against 1 usually doesn’t go so well. Watched the game...in OT, OU player wide open from the corner and ball hog chucks one up (and missed). Jacked up at least two 30–footers (way before the shot clock) that barely caught the rim.

14-39? Yikes. I’m not real sure I’m as high on his nba potential as others. He was just under his average of almost 8 turnovers a game in Big 12 play today at least. That’s improvement I guess.

And if you count most of Young's deep shots as the flat out turnovers that they are then he'd be averaging more than 10 turnovers a game. Sorry, but I still contend that his shtick is gonna start wearing thin on teammates pretty soon. Yeah, he's better than then but he's basically telling his teammates "I have a better chance of making a contested 35 footer than you dopes have of getting open and hitting anything".

It's pretty clear now that his goal out there is to keep the ball himself until either he scores or he can get a teammate open to score so he can get max points and assist stats.

And thirty nine shots in a game is ridiculous. In Frank Mason's National PoY award sweeping season last year, he never even had 2 consecutive games where he combined to shoot 39 shots.

Why would you count deep shots at turnovers? He hit 4 threes from 28-32 feet out yesterday
