This week's games ...

I think we win easily but we really lack offensive firepower to put up gawdy numbers. It’ll be something like 38-10

ISU -28.5 @ Ku - cyclone hits Mt. Oread - 11am FS1
K-State +3 @ WVU - smh - 11am ESPN2
Texas +3.5 @ oSu - spread looks right - 3:00pm Fox
TCU -2.5 @ Baylor - the battle of Mt. Meh - 2:30pm ESPN2
OU -14.5 @ TxT - annual shootout - 7pm Fox
-ISU dominates, KU covers late
-WVU wins by 3
-Weird feeling that Texas wins
-TCU covers
-OU covers

I'm glad they're really bought into the program

lol, everyone was kinda salty at first, but it's been a pretty messed up year. I would bet there will be other kids across the country who say enough at some point this year. I can't imagine what all these kids are having to go through being tested at least 3 times per week, not being able to do anything social, still not being allowed to play at times due to contact tracing. Add into the fact the Baylor team is learning new coaches/system at the same time. I'm guessing this is about as far away from what they were expecting walking off the sugar bowl field less than a year ago.

Just wait until some of these guys get drafted or are a UFA pick up by some bottom feeder NFL team. Will they stick it out as a tackling dummy on the practice squad? They are just demonstrating that they can't handle adversity.

Not specifically a shot at your players and team - more the "kids across the country" you mentioned in your post.

I hear you there. But I saw the highlights of their KSU game. No disrespect to the KSU special teams because they are very good, but the coverage on those punt returns was dreadful. KSU got two punt return TDs and were close to a third one and it didn't even look like they had to try that hard. I would love it if ISU had a pick 6 and two special teams TDs - in the first half - like KSU did.

I read somewhere that the starter and backup punters were hurt for KU, so that will probably help a lot. l wish the ISU special teams were as special as KSU's are. Those guys seem to get a special team TD every game.

It sounds like after the first TD they were coaching him to punt it out of bounds, but the punter couldn't execute and set them up for more long returns and another TD.

I don't disagree in principle, but what these kids are asked to do is pretty ridiculous at times.
Ebner and Lovett specifically, were here during the 1-11 Rhule season where they were constantly called rapists by classy opposing fans during games, so they have been through not great years.

I certainly understand that viewpoint, but I can almost guarantee you those guys wouldn't have thought about opting out if Baylor were undefeated at this point. Now, if there were other circumstances like a family issue (Pooka Williams) that played into their decision, than I could understand where they're coming from.

of course not. They were also likely frustrated with their role in the offense to this point (as are the fans).

I don't think anyone thinks it was a mature decision but a buildup of frustration. These are kids being asked to do a ton in unprecedented conditions. This won't be the last story like this.

I understand it not being fair to lump all players and fans together in that scandal, but that was an unforgivable event. Fans are often belligerent for dumb stuff, but this doesn't fall in that category. It won't and shouldn't just go away.

Every time I want Texas to win they lose and every time I want them to lose they win. So hammer that Texas moneyline this week boys.

Ku's first-team punter was out. Second team punter was hurt trying to make a tackle on Phillip Brooks. Third team punter wasn't hitting them very well. Les said they didn't kick it out-of-bounds as instructed.
