This week's games ...

I try not to go around calling people I don't know, much less an 18 year old kid, a rapist. But you do you.

That is an interesting conclusion that you came to based on what I said. I never condoned their actions, I merely implied that fans do way worse for far less severe reasons. I even led with "I understand it not being fair to lump all players and fans together in that scandal" that you conveniently edited out.

You have the right to defend people not associated with the rape scandal. You started out by calling other fans "classy" when they are clearly still pissed off about a rape cover-up. I'm not sure if you have a time frame in mind for people to forget about what happened, but I wouldn't expect it to be anytime soon.

Did anyone else almost throw their beer when Manning called a WR bubble screen on 2nd and 15?

We need more of those plays when the defense is pinning their ears back. The problem is we don't have the receivers (Milton out) or OL to execute them properly.

KU's QB is terrible, although he has nobody to help him. I'm glad WIlliams opted out. He killed us last season. I'll be surprised if KU gets to double digits.

Just watched the KU vs KSU highlights, and KU is really bad, especially on special teams. KSU had two punt returns for TDs and a couple other long returns. Look for KU to be punting out of bounds, if they can find a punter. The KU QB also threw a horrible pick 6, so KSU got 21 points on non-offensive plays.

They didn't have anything in there about kick returns, but if it is the same guys on the punt coverage, Kene is probably going to house one. Even if the kick is 5 yards deep in the endzone, I would want to have him take it out.

I would've been fine with the call on 1st down. When it's 2nd and 15 and you need to at least get a field goal, I don't think throwing the ball backwards two yards is the right call. I would've even been fine with a hitch route for 5 yards.

It's interesting how convenient it is to howl at and about offensive coordinators who work for and at the behest of their head coach.
If you're critical on the offense or defense based on the entirety of the season, that's on the head coach. When it's within the game, the blame shifts mostly to the coordinator.

That doesn't make sense to me. The head coach is always part of the game planning. The coordinators are executing the plan they jointly develop. CMC wears a headset and is obviously calling shots along the way. I mean he and Herman are the most animated in the league.

Kene might only get one attempt to return a KO

Matt hired Manning to do a job and that's to take over and lead the offense. Matt's not going to be in his ear telling him what to do or micro-manage him. Sure, Matt will give his opinions on how things are looking or maybe suggest something here and there, but he's not actually calling the plays. Matt being passionate on the sideline doesn't correlate with him having his hands all over our offense.

Almost three seasons ago, CMC proved he lets manning call what he wants during games when at Kstate and the Dback bearhugged Lazard (and the refs covered for the Vamp) and CMC was very upset that a pass was called in that situation.

I'm just saying that regardless the school, o'coordinates are the fall guys. Very seldom is it the guy making millions upon millions to run the operation. Only in football does that happen. You'd never blame James Kane for ISU's MBB troubles.

Even without their quarterback, KSU being a dog to WV is surprising. Tech beat WV and I certainly expect the KSU game to be much more of a challenge than Tech was.
