There has been a thread started about the refs after almost every ISU loss this year.
That's not even close to true

The only thing that is bent is the skewed prism that fans watch the game and judge the refs through.

Uh, he clearly grabbed his junk. That was not a tap.He tapped a guy in the junk with the back of his hand. Call it what you want. I had no problem with it being a technical foul
That's not how YOU tell an opponent "good shot" ?Uh, he clearly grabbed his junk. That was not a tap. http://thebiglead.com/2016/02/23/georges-niang-tarik-philip/

Uh, that wasn't a grab. It definitely deserved the technical and I don't like what he did, but that was just the back of his hand.Uh, he clearly grabbed his junk. That was not a tap.

You people complaining about the officiating need to watch other college BB on TV. I don't see any of you coming on here OUTRAGED that KU has 32 fouls to WVU 20 fouls in that game. I don't see any other threads started about other games where fans just call the refs out as blatant CHEATERS and fixing the game.
Officiating isn't perfect, far from it, but to just go on an on and on and on with the ref butt hurt like this is just stupid. There isn't a conspiracy against us, they aren't out to get us, the refs are calling the game as they see it.
IMO it looked like he hit him with the back of his hand. If you think he grabbed him that's fine, it doesn't really matter anyways
I watch a lot of college basketball. I'm not starting a thread about every game, and I surely won't complain about Kansas getting a raw deal.
I don't think it's a conspiracy. I just think they suck at their job.
Yep pretty much this.
This thread is ridiculous. These referees are human and make mistakes but for the most part they are all great at what they do. Officiating basketball is very tough, but these guys are the best in the country and for the most part usually get it right. These guys have so much experience under their belts, final 4's, etc. They review every game, every call. They are graded, judged during the season and have to go to many clinics and rules meetings during the summer. You should very ever rarely blame an officiating crew for losing a basketball game - especially now with some elements of replay involved.
The moral of the story is, if you get swept by a team in college basketball - the other team is better. End of story.
So we were better than West Virginia last year?

Absolutely ISU was. If cyclones wouldnt have laid a gigantic egg against UAB they probably wouldve beat UCLA and went to the sweet 16. They don't beat Gonzaga but still, a trip the Sweet 16 is pretty nice. WVU was 11-7 in conference last year and lost 1st rd Big 12 Tourney. Made a nice little run to the Sweet 16 before being embarrassed by 40 pts to Kentucky. Iowa State was superior team last year. 2015-2016 Iowa State is a worse team than 2014-2015 Iowa State.
So what your saying is mild and I am being generous here reach ins are fouls but continually hacking forearms is not? IMO you call it both ways or you don't call it at all. Don't call the ticky tack **** if you aren't gonna call blatant hacks. If it takes a blatant hack to get a foul called that's fine we could have adjusted to that, same goes for if you are gonna call a foul on any contact, we can adjust to that too during a game. But having 2 different sets of rules about what constitutes a foul for the 2 teams I find a problem with. No wonder we gave up 97 points we couldn't touch them without getting called, at that point you hope they miss because we weren't allowed to play defense last night: disclaimer, I don't think we play very good defense.
