HMMM... Let's think about this some more. Yahoo (big) can garner TV space, streaming video to every computer, laptop, smartphone, yada yada yada. They do it better than anyone.

Every game, every week and any game you want. For a fee of course. The end to cable and satellite charging me for a the BTN or any other network I don't care about.

I know I don't post often, but seems like a business opportunity here

This was brought up somewhere on here or maybe in this monster I forget. But this is the wave of the future and schools like ISU need to get on board with this.

If they're looking to get in ACC, then why take the pledge? These schools don't want to look like backstabbing aTm, or OU. I respect their honesty.

Along those lines, does anyone think that Pitt might still be in the running? I know they haven't officially left the BE and can't for 27 months, but have applied for membership in ACC and been accepted. Is this truely a done deal or could they wiggle out of it and go somewhere else? (like an expanded B12)

I could see ESPN moving the LHN to a online format if they continue to not get cable providers to sign up....

Hoe many people here won't even pay for Clone Zone yet are constantly asking for radio streams or videos?

Tongue in cheek. Our fan base needs to step up NOW. Buy tickets, (which many have, but will you be there on a cold November day?) and buy into the ISU product. Throughout all of this thread, and I have read almost all, our fan base needs to (stated earlier), give up the woe is me.

Somehoe the cards have seemed to play out that we live for another day. Let's do something with the opportunity

I vow to buy two brats instead of one next game. I am throwing out a challenge for others to step up.

Better yet, how many of those same people complain that iSU doesn't get enough for it's third tier rights.

I didn't say ISU doesn't get enough for its third tier rights. Just saying there is an excellent opportunity to expand those rights with Yahoo Sports, thus expanding brand recognition. Streaming TV is steadily gaining market share, and the "little eight" would be remiss if they didn't take advantage. The eight remaining schools, as a package, could get a lucrative deal IMO. Bring in three more schools like WVU(?), Louisville, TCU, etc., and that package deal could get bigger. Let UT have LHN as an ESPN network. Cable may be giving way to internet TV, so having an online network in place could give the rest of the conference big leverage countering UT's political power.

I don't think it's the brand for most people, more like the economy.

Won't ever argue with people on tough times. I don't think that is the majority of our so called fan base. We are notorius (Sp?) for not showing up in November because its too cold. I get the October thing. Harvest. But once crop out, no excuses! We will never be a unified fan base until we consistantly pack the jack, buy the $20 Clone Zone and get into it.

We have been presented with an opportunity with a window. (5yrs...whatever) NOW is the time

Couldn't agree more. We need to be ahead of the curve, not behind it!
