That movie was so badass and A++++++++!!!! Ledger is getting best male performance hands down. One of the most bittersweet moments ever, funny, and sad that he is no longer alive. Great movie, I reccomend.

AWESOME. Very cool and very evil. Ledger as The Joker is scary. Imagine what could have been if Ledger didn't die. The third movie would be even bigger.
I missed the boat on advance tickets to IMAX tonight, but I am going to Wynnsong at 7:00. Assuming it's as awesome as expected, I'll probably try to hit IMAX in a week or two when it settles down a little.
Much has been said about Ledger's performance, and it is phenomenal. But the rest of the cast and crew are dynamite, as well, and the sheer quality of the film's production, all the way down to the screenwriting, was top notch. Nolan and company make such a complex, twisted, emotional world. This film is about twice as big as Batman Begins in terms of scope and theme. I loved every second of it.
I unfortunately won't be able to see it until Weds, when it is released in my area. I am so ready to see it tonight.
GREAT movie! Not really for the kids, but a nice and dark movie about Batman. That's just the way it should be.

Christian Bale continues to amaze me, every movie he's in he does a fantastic job and seems to be a solid movie. The mere fact he's in the next Terminator has be interested in seeing it. My only real complaint is in both of the new Batman's the love triangle is a little weak, a few more meaningful minutes spent on Rachel and Bruce would've strengthened that significantly.
Just saw the movie last night and it was amazing. It definetely lives up to the hype and Heath Ledger was brillaint and definetely meets the hype. The movie was so well done from every detail.

I was surprised to see the preview for the next terminator. The preview just looked like a bunch of strobe lights but couldnt believe they are going to start it up again with christian bale. I dont know who is directing it but hopefully its not who did the third terminator.

I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, but some friends went to it tonight at Wynnsong. Some big storms rolled through while they were watching the movie. Near the end of the movie, right before Batman goes to see Harvey Dent, the storms set off the theater's alarm, and they have to stop the movie. Several minutes later, they announce that they can't shut the alarm off and they're closing the theater. So my friends get kicked out of the theater without being able to see the very end of the movie. To make it up, the theater offered to let them in at a later date for free if they showed their ticket stubs. Cheapskates.

That SUCKS! I saw it at Wynnsong on Friday evening, and it was awesome!
IMO, they should never have the Joker in a Batman movie again, out of respect to Heath Ledger, who totally owned that role! Even if Ledger hadn't died, it would've been lame to have the Joker again in the next movie anyways. But even 50 years from now, no one could possibly top Ledger's performance as the Joker.
Great, great movie, and I'm definitely planning to see it in IMAX before it's gone. I shouldn't put too much stock in the imdb.com voting, but it's already their #1 movie of all time, with a 9.7 rating!

Dark Knight was definitely awesome. Incidentally, I am watching Batman and Robin on cable right now. It has George Clooney as Batman. Arnold Shwarzeneggar and Uma Thurman are in it as well. I don't recall going to this movie in the theatre, but I probably did. It is absolutely the worst Batman movie ever. I can't believe how bad it sucks.
No , I think the one with Danny Devito as the Pengun was the worst. It just stunk with some repulsive moments. The movies before Batman Begins were more like the TV show. Very campy and like a cartoon.
But the dialogue is amazing! "Ice to see you" and "Allow me to break the ice," how could it be written any better? :wink:
The Dark Knight was pretty good, not as good as I was expecting. Ledger's performance was admirable, but were he still alive, there'd be none of this Oscar talk. He was great, but not Oscar great.
I think I liked Batman Begins a LOT better. This movie was very monotonous with its quick pace. It was exciting, but it was a one note song at best. I may have to see it again before I make up my mind.

Saw it today and it was great. I don't know much about Heath Ledger except he is dead....his performance was great, i rank it up there with some of the best. Although Philip Seymour Hoffman as Capote was still the best acting job of all time.
Saw it this afternoon at Wynnsong. Great movie, but far too many parents brought young kids in. I mean way, way too young to see this movie. There were a couple of kids probably in the 7-8 year old range that were right behind me with their parents and I got uncomfortable during a couple of scenes because of what they were seeing. Would have gotten an R rating if there had been actual blood shown.
Aside from that, it was very entertaining and one of the best overall movies I've seen.
