Texas Tech / Kansas drama

I don't believe it's a free-for-all with the cowbells in non-con games for MSU. We were at their home game against Alcorn St, Our granddaughter told us the rules before we even entered the stadium. They were followed in that game.
Against Arizona state they basically rang them non stop when ASU had the ball.

They were not followed for the ASU game. The rules are set by the SEC with a fine as the penalty. You think they’re going to fine them for a non-conference game? The rules need to be set by the NCAA with penalties in the game (delay of game), not fines later on by an entity that has an incentive to let MSU have an advantage.

The tortillas don't bother me back in the 80s ISU threw oranges into the end zone after the 1st touchdown of the 1st game because "we were orange bowl bound"

It was a quirky thing to do. Not sure when it died out.
It died because people started to realize it's never going to happen. With Walden after the first quarter of the first game it was better to eat the oranges.

The sound on the broadcast for the ASU-MSU game was the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. Sounded like a game-long technical issue.

Bush league stuff, shouldn't be allowed in any game.
It’s on par with painting the opposing teams locker room all pink because “it makes them calm and seduded” and for underlying misogynistic reasons.

The league needs to fine TT if any are thrown onto the field the moment the game starts, also the officials tell them before the game, if one is thrown onto the field after it has started, its a 15 yard penalty, and we will charge you a penalty every time it happens after that, and the refs are looking for them.

I recall a lot of oranges being thrown ironically when ISU had some very bad teams...

...or maybe that is sarcastically.
In 1981 ISU started the conference season 2-0-1 with a tie against top ten Oklahoma and a win against top ten Missouri. There were oranges being thrown on the field at the time. We lost the last four conference games, scoring a total of 32 points in those games. That's why many of us old-timers don't get too excited when we start a season 5-0 like we did this year.

I think the Big XII needs to explain their position on the "inaccurate statement regarding a pocketknife." Maybe Leipold lied about it, but it sure seemed like there was a pocketknife somewhere based on what he said after the game.

What can't happen is the Big XII start protecting Tech from any and all criticism (see Horns Down) just because they are currently the best football team in the conference.

The student section in Lubbock is (or at least was the last I knew) right behind the visitors bench and closer to the sideline than at most stadiums. The students are relentless to the players there which is okay, but they also throw ****, like batteries, when they can get away with it. The pocket knife only surprises me because it isn't something worthless like a used battery they are throwing.

The gameday hijinx at Tech is trash and cleaning it up is long overdue.
During the ISU game at TT in 2021, the students behind the ISU bench were removed and had to find somewhere else to sit or leave the stadium.
