That’s a nobody said there’d be math headline,

They look to be a team that plays fast but also has bad half-court defense. I think Iowa State are a bad matchup for them without taking in account the whole 2 v 15. Kenpom actually has a 16th seed rated higher than Tenn St.
I think our gameplan will put up a lot of points while forcing them to turn it over. If Iowa State handles the ball well, I don't see Iowa State fans sweating.

My kid plays in the Ohio Valley so I've seen TSU a couple of times. Their 3 guards are pretty good. The PG, Harris, runs the team well. He's had previous stops at Georgetown, Virginia and Memphis so obviously he's talented. The other two guards are long and athletic. Both are 6'6ish and can get super-hot from 3 and they have no conscious. The elevation they get on their jumpers is pretty impressive. They have zero inside game. They play a 6'0" power forward about 10 minutes a game.

For context on their 172 NET ranking: Miss St who ISU beat 96-80 in November Is NET 114.

As an aside, I have no idea how out of conference strength of schedule is calculated, as the only high major TSU played was Tennessee vs. our schedule of St. Johns, Creighton, Syracuse, Iowa, @ Purdue and they are ranked 74th and we are ranked 138th.

Yeah, they only have 7 games total above Q4. But that is what we get when we play 7 games >250 and 5 games >300. Those dregs really drag down your SOS.
